Like the wood floors in the room. Worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. Needs to be replaced!!!! (King sized). Room 311

There was no coffee maker in the room. The room was visibly dirty. We were put in a first floor room despite booking a suite with a balcony. I asked about the balcony and the front desk staff said, you have a patio. Didn’t want to make a scene so I didn’t keep asking why I didn’t get a balcony. I know it’s because I used Expedia. This happens nearly every hotel booked on Expedia. The hotel changes the room type to give you their “Expedia” rooms, this is known by staff and people that work in hospitality that these rooms exist. They are typically in bad repair and/or have missing items and are downgraded from what you book and paid for.

We like this location. We have stayed here previously & so we anticipated the same experience this year. Room was clean except for tiny insects on all tiled areas especially the tub & toilet area. Room had a hot tub in room which was a surprise to us and tiled around it. We brought it to the attention of the on duty manager and we were assured they were harmless and caused by wet rainy conditions in the local area. Regardless their presence was still annoying. He assured us they would do a deep room clean and change all bedding as we would not return until later in the evening. Room didn’t seem to be touched when we returned at around dusk! Minor comment that chairs in breakfast area seriously need to be re-upholstered.

Properly was well-maintained, pool and hot tub in great condition. Breakfast there was a nice selection. Room was clean beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The location and the beds were great.

We had bugs crawling in the bathtub, on the bathroom floor, in the bathmat on the floor,. We took the 2 items with bugs in them in a plastic bag to the manager and she just took the bag and put in another room. Had to argue about getting compensated for our problem and after awhile she finally gave us $50 off from our $225 bill. Also we noticed the guy from the front desk and the manager outside smoking together. There was nobody in the dining room cleaning tables after people got up, had to find help with getting food in the warmers. The manager could have been in there checking to make sure there were no problems. We went into the pool area where there were 8 30ish year old people in the hot tub with beers in their hands and food on the table so that we could not access the hot tub. We did use the pool for awhile though. Once they got out to eat (right by the no food in pool area sign), we went in the hot tub for 10 minutes. While we were in the hot tub this group took over the pool with throwing footballs across the pool and the whole area back and forth so we could no longer have access to the pool. The room was actually nice until the bugs came crawling. The sad thing is we were told that there was nothing they could do about it. I showed the front desk videos I had taken and pictures, but that did nothing. You want to dry off with bugs in your towels? Was told they spray outside by the AC units but can't spray indoors because of the dogs that are allowed in. Sorry could not get into my gallery of photos to send the videos I took. The first photo is a bug on the bed, probably from my towel and the second one was bugs coming out of the corner.
