DoubleTree by Hilton Lisbon Fontana Park

My vacation to Portugal was incredible! and I could not have chosen a better place to stay than the DoubleTree by Hilton Fontana Park. The hotel is in a great location, modern, and—most importantly has an exceptionally friendly staff. Everyone was always smiling, attentive, and eager to help. Special thanks to the restaurant and bar team—Motaz, Solomon, and Diogo for their outstanding service, as well as everyone else at the hotel who made our stay so enjoyable. I would definitely highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!

Zero Stars If I Could – Worst Night of My Life at This Hotel This was my second stay at this hotel, and it will definitely be my last. I booked a room in the so-called executive wing, expecting a quiet, restful experience. What I got instead was a front-row seat to every car, motorcycle, and drop of rain passing by—because the floor-to-ceiling windows are not soundproof. At all. I didn’t sleep. Not a little. Not eventually. Not at all. It was like trying to nap on the side of a freeway inside a glass box. When it rained, the noise doubled. When a motorcycle passed by, it felt like the engine was in the room with me. I tried earplugs—three times—and still couldn’t escape the noise. The moment I took them out, I was hit with a wall of sound so intense I genuinely considered checking out in the middle of the night. This was, without exaggeration, the worst night I’ve ever had in a hotel. And again—this was my second stay. So this isn’t bad luck. It’s design failure. For a hotel claiming this level of service and category, the complete disregard for basic comfort—like silence at night—is unacceptable. I would not stay here again under any circumstance. Zero stars, if that were an option.

The room was perfect... clean, spacious, and modern. I had to leave early in the morning, so I didn’t have time to try the breakfast or eat anything at the hotel. However, I received a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a very nice surprise and a thoughtful touch from the hotel management. It definitely made me feel very special. Thank you!

I honestly didn’t find anything to dislike, everything about my stay was truly wonderful. From the clean and modern room to the warm service and thoughtful touches, the entire experience exceeded my expectations.

Stayed for 3 nights. The staff, food, breakfast, wine selection were all really good. The problem is the hotel design. All areas are dark and painted black. The bar is so dark you can’t read the menu. Very few seats, all very uncomfortable in the bar area ( which is actually the reception area separated by a mesh screen). Corridors have black walls, carpets and ceilings! Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. However the bathroom is absolutely bizarre. Clear glass into the bedroom, it is dark and all black, and has mirrored walls. So if you like no privacy and like to watch yourself using the bathroom, this is for you. Such a shame as the staff were great and the hotel is well located.

We travel a lot and this was one of the more bizarre hotels we have stayed in. Chose this hotel to end our Portugal visit given the location’s proximity to the airport. The lobby is modern and upscale and based on other reviews the hotel seeks to be trendy and modern on many points. We were in the “executive wing” which is, as other reviews have commented, and odd wing connected to the main hotel. You have to use your room key to open a special door that connects directly to the Starbucks next door and leads you through their seating area to a small elevator. So odd. A very small elevator ride later were in an ugly and industrial looking gray hallway. Our room was stark white, worn and dated with zero artwork on the walls. It felt like a hospital room. Marks on the walls and mold in the shower. Not a great room at all. We are diamond members and no other options were available unfortunately. We were impressed by the lobby given this brand and from there the experience sadly went downhill.
