Second Wind Country Inn

Beautiful home, well decorated and very comfortable. The host were friendly and welcoming.

We had a great time while we were at Second Wind from the time we arrived to the time we left. We stayed in the Lumberjack Loft. The owners/hosts were concerned with the satisfaction of and all in our group and responded to requests promptly. Great breakfast each morning and though we are generally not the "Bed and breakfast" type, we enjoyed the discussion with the other guests and owners. If you are looking for a hotel experience, I guess you can make it that way, but if you want something a little more comfortable, like home, then this just might be your place. One thing i should mention is there is good internet, but no television: we found it a nice break, but some may find this a little distressing. We loved it and will be back.

The entire stay was terrific. Kelly went out of her way to make us feel at home, and her breakfast cuisine was to die for. The inn is close to many scenic adventures along Lake Superior’s shores. Will stay here again, for sure.

Exceeded expectations. Homey, comfy, spacious. Amazing home-cooked breakfast. Lovely hosts. Minutes from Ashland town centre. 30 minutes to Bayfield for easy access to Apostle Island activities. Highly recommend the South Shore Brewery/Deep Water Grille in Ashland for drinks and dinner.

Friendly owners and fantastic food! The sunset views were wonderful.

Very well maintained and welcoming place. We loved the room and being able to have cool breezes all night long. Breakfast was great. The hosts were very helpful when planning our days in Ashland and Bayfield.
