The Prince Hakone Lake Ashinoko

Excellent hotel in beautiful location - we even got a clear view of Mount Fuji. The facilities, especially the onsen were fantastic and the free shuttle bus to and from Odawara Station was a bonus. All the main hotel staff were lovely and helpful.

Il est noté que des vélos sont disponibles à cet hôtel. Mais une fois sur place on nous indique que seulement 2 sont disponibles pour un hôtel aussi immense. Donc impossible de les réserver.

רחוק מכל מקום וכל דבר. רק עם אוטו אפשר להגיע לחנויות / מסעדות. וגם זה הכל נסגר מוקדם. מתקנים ישנים במלון. שמיכות דקות - היה לנו קר לא מילאו לנו קרמים אחרי שהשתמשנו בהם.

Dieses Hotel war für uns eines der absoluten Highlights unserer gesamten Japanreise und gleichzeitig der perfekte Abschluss. Die Hotelanlage direkt am Ashi-See ist traumhaft schön, unglaublich ruhig und einfach perfekt, um komplett abzuschalten und zu entspannen. Besonders begeistert waren wir vom Onsen. Es war mit Abstand eines der schönsten Onsens unserer Reise und wir haben es während unseres Aufenthalts gleich drei Mal besucht. Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich herzlich, höflich und zuvorkommend und wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an total wohlgefühlt. Auch das Zimmer hat uns sofort begeistert. Der wunderschöne 70er-Jahre Flair zieht sich durch das gesamte Hotel und macht den Aufenthalt wirklich besonders. Man fühlt sich fast wie auf einer kleinen Zeitreise, aber auf eine richtig stilvolle und gemütliche Art. Das Zimmer selbst war riesig, mit zwei großen Betten, einem Wohnbereich und getrenntem Bad und WC, was wir sehr praktisch fanden. Auch das Abendbuffet im Lake Side hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Die Atmosphäre im Speisesaal war wunderschön und das Essen sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Generell merkt man im ganzen Hotel, wie viel Liebe zum Detail hier drinsteckt. Besonders süß fanden wir auch die kleine Shoppingmeile und die vielen gemütlichen Bereiche wie die Bücherei oder den Tischtennisraum. Das absolute Highlight war dann unser letzter Morgen. Wir gingen direkt vorne ans Ufer und plötzlich sahen wir den Mount Fuji direkt vor uns. Eine unglaublich beeindruckende Aussicht und das Beste daran war, dass wir diesen Moment komplett alleine in absoluter Ruhe genießen konnten.

Für uns war wirklich alles perfekt, wir möchten definitiv wieder kommen! 🤍

Great setting, lovely staff and excellent facilities.

The only issue we had was accessibility. Infrequent buses meant that we had to take taxis more than we would’ve liked in order to make the most of our time there.

We stayed here for two nights and had an overall wonderful experience. The room and the location of the hotel are absolutely awesome, offering beautiful and peaceful views right by the lake. One of the biggest highlights of the property is the amazing onsen. It is kept open until late at night, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. Another major plus is their transportation service; they provide a very convenient shuttle to Odawara station, as well as a frequent shuttle to Motohakone. This made it incredibly easy to visit the Hakone Shrine, catch the Pirate Ship, and explore the local shops.

The only real downside was the dining. There are almost no options to have vegetarian food in the hotel restaurants. If you are a strict vegetarian, you will definitely need to plan ahead or bring your own food. The staff at the resturants also were not keen to help here.

Absolutely wonderful! Wished we booked more nights!
