The location was great Staff friendly and went beyond, one provided me with a cup of hot water as no kettle comes with the standard of room I booked

Only needed a late bed with an early start so didn’t want to spend a great deal , however wish I had now . The curtains were hanging from the rail therefore did not provide privacy. I had to keep the metals shutters closed for privacy which rendered the room in black out. There is a tv but only tuned to a few Spanish stations, the remote control buttons for Netflix and YouTube purely for show. No kettle or water but hey I get why water would not be included , don’t understand why a cheap kettle and cup can’t be. The bathroom extractor fan screams for the first 10 mins it is on . The bathroom basic with discoloured black silicone in areas . The Aircon worked well. The single bed was comfortable. I had to climb the wardrobe to get the blanket down. This is what £80 gets you I guess . Although I could have stayed at double tree for £56 as booked the same day.

The Peninsular has a comfortable, easy on the eye appeal. Modern in its design and decoration, pleasantly presented by its helpful and knowledgeable staff. I have enjoyed my stays at the hotel which is situated close to the Historical and Night Life Quarters of Gerona and in easy reach of the transport systems.

Bit smaller than expected. A light blanket of the ned would have been nice.

Excellent location just minutes walk from old town

Amenities were outdated (only one outlet to the whole room), hot water was unreliable, and unfortunately I had an encounter with a cockroach in the bathroom that made feel uncomfortable to leave my toothbrush out in the bathroom. Also, I tried to order a taxi through the front desk and they agreed. When I came down at the agreed upon time they told me it didn't work out. Fortunately we were able to flag down a taxi right outside but I got close to missing my long-distance train because they didn't give me a heads up that the reservation I was relying on wasn't going to work out.
