Wonderful accommodations. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Grilled every night. Beach area is a cove and great for snorkeling/SUP, not body surfing.

Very spacious condo within walking distance to the beach. Very comfortable. Beds were a little too soft for us, as we prefer a firm matress. Looks like things haven't been updated in quite a while. We still very much enjoyed our stay. The grounds were beautiful and staff very friendly. We were sad that the pool was being renovated during our stay, even though they gave us the option to be shuttled down to the hotel's pool. We preferred to go to the beach instead.

The Islands at Mauna Lani well-exceeded our expectations!! We rented the Deluxe Room, 3 Bedrooms, Garden View (P1). The condo was spacious with 3 large bedrooms (2 with balconies), 3 full bathrooms, 1 powder room, large kitchen, beautiful living room and dining room as well as a laundry room and garage. Our condo (P1) was beautifully furnished and decorated. The kitchen included a full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, double-oven, dishwasher and toaster. The condo was perfect for a family of 5 or more, and the facilities were very well maintained as clean. The pool was centrally located and also well maintained, although the waterfall was closed. There are shops, a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. The resort is located about 30 minutes from the Kona airport which was convenient. The resort also included a beautiful golf course and spa. One downside was that there was no daily cleaning service included in our package which would have been nice. Overall, we had an excellent experience! The condo we rented (P1) was a mini-mansion in paradise! I would highly recommend the Islands at Mauna Lani. We would definitely go back!

We found the townhouse to be in a large resort community shared by other gated communities and a hotel, so large that almost everything required driving or the free shuttle service. On the other hand, it was a good location for day trips up the coast, over to Hilo or down to Kona. Hint: There is an adequate grocery store in the resort and a well equipped kitchen, but we found Costco just south of the airport to be a good option for pre-cooked easy to prepare meals without having to buy all of the cooking essentials.

These are townhouse condominiums that are rented out by a management company. As such please expect that there is normal wear and tear of spending time in someones vacation home. There is daily cleaning service which is outstanding, there is a small pool available. It needs to be stressed that the check in is located quite distant from the actual residences and by a management company that has a completely different name. It would be very helpful if this could be stressed in an email before arrival as we went in circles trying to find where to get our keys. The residences have garages, a huge plus. There is normal home wear and tear on the living room carpets and the couches could use some updating. Well stocked instruments in the kitchen, a small but noticeable ant problem near the garbage disposal which can be expected in that climate and did not interfere with our stay at all but you should be conscious of it with your food and not leave it out or throw away food in a place they can get to. Washing machine a huge plus. Bed and linen comfort is average. The location is quite isolated with a great small commercial area walking distance away that includes a steakhouse, another restaurant and a grocery store. You cannot beat the size and value you get for the price though. Much more comfortable than a hotel with plenty of room for large group/family. Extremely quite and in a secure gated community.

Rent a 3 ensuite bedroom villa, perfect for 3 couples. It is spacious enough, well equipped & clean. We checked in very late around 9:00pm to realise the front desk located at the other end of villa entrance. Fortunately, managed to get hold of access gate code before the office closes at 10:00pm. Stay was generally comfortable except the last day we ran into tap water shortage, which didn't bother us much as we were about to leave. There is free shuttle service between villa, golf course & other Lani facilities.

Mauna Lani resort area is awesome. Square footage of unit is great. Needs a good cleaning top to bottom. We experienced ants in the kitchen and all 3 bathrooms our entire stay.

When I booked this condo, I was expecting a small 2 bedroom apartment-like place. I booked this in a rush and hadn't really read details about it. One confusing moment was figuring out where to check-in. It wasn't clear that the check-in office was in one place, and access to the unit was in another. Google maps had taken me directly to a gated community. After a quick phone call, however, managed to quickly figure out the check-in place was just a few minutes away and was able to check-in with no issues. As we drove through the wonderfully maintained gated community and up to a house with its own garage, we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a very spacious 2-story home! The community isn't beach front property, but we were given free access to a nearby beach which also gave us easy access to one of the best restaurants in the area, Napua. We LOVED the house, and it was within driving distance of other great beaches like Hapuna so we never felt like we lost out. We also had access to a free shuttle service that would take us to the beach, nearby marketplace, and 2 other hotels with beach access. It's definitely THE BEST vacation "condo" I've ever stayed at! And the price we got it for? What a steal! We took a lot of pictures in and around the house, and friends are already showing their interest in staying there should they ever visit the Big Island! Oh, and the customer service? Super friendly and helpful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Great spacious place, that is located in the Mauna Lani Resort. Pictures did not do justice on how nice and open the condo/house is. The area and surrounding condos/houses is very peaceful and quiet. Great for a family stay. The staff were very friendly and so was the housekeeping. One downside was that the wifi at our place wasn't working, but out in paradise you need distractions. Although it would have been nice to have wifi, because it was hard getting signal with our phones. Overall great experience and place to stay! We would totally come back!
