Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay

Clean, beautiful views, loved listening to the seals.

No restaurant. Noisy air conditioning units in each room that wouldn’t shut off. I unplugged them.

Big rooms, clean and comfortable — but bring earplugs We stayed at The Suites and overall had a good experience. Pros: • Very spacious suites with great harbor views. • Clean throughout and well kept. • Convenient kitchenettes in the units. • Easy check-in process and plenty of parking. Cons: • The suites ran warm. There is AC, but unfortunately the units aren’t built-in; they’re extremely loud portable-style machines that sounded like a freight train, waking us up multiple times during the night. Grateful for the AC, but not the noise. • Pillows were very overstuffed, which gave me a neck ache, and there wasn’t really an option to swap them out. • No restaurant on site for breakfast. They do offer a breakfast delivery option you can pre-order, but the earliest delivery is 8:00 a.m., which might be too late for early risers or people heading out on morning plans. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and is excellent Bottom line: Spacious, clean, and with wonderful views — but if you’re sensitive to noise at night or need an early breakfast, keep those downsides in mind.

Amazing property!

The view was fantastic! We could hear and see a group of lounging sea lions barking on the wharf. The bed was huge and very very comfortable - what a treat! After a lovely wedding and party, we got a solid eight hours sleep. The suite was spacious and clean and included a tidy kitchen area and a bathtub. There was also a covered parking area.
