The River Inn

The River Inn has been our go-to for the last 4 years and will continue to be anytime we visit DC. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious, love that each room has it's own kitchen, we love the location, walkable to one of the Founding Farmers, close to Georgetown (although it's really in GW territory lol), CVS etc. The restaurant on site is very good for breakfast and dinner. But what truly sets it apart is the staff. They remember your name, they always are warm and friendly and go above and beyond. The doormen, the front desk, the housekeeping staff, every one. We definitely appreciate everything I mentioned prior but it's honestly the staff that keeps us coming back.

The staff makes this charming Inn a standout! We went for the GW graduation. The inn made the celebration very special! The decorated lobby had complimentary cupcakes, cookies, and sparkling wine when we arrived, and on our second day as well. So lovely! We stayed in the Potomac view one bedroom suite, which I highly recommend! Thank you to every staff member who treated up with the utmost friendliness and attention!

Great location for the Metro and walking to the sights and museums. Two well stocked supermarkets close by. Large, comfortable room and well lit room. Lifts always available.

All a bit tired and lacklustre.

Love the location (close to GW, Foggy Bottom Metro Station and the beautiful Kennedy Center). A special shout-out to the lovely and very kind staff, and also the clean and comfortable rooms.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the accommodation has good connections to the metro and buses. The room was pleasantly spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped.

The television did not always work properly, and the refrigerator could sometimes be quite noisy. At night, it felt a bit drafty in the room even though all the windows were closed.
