The staff were very kind and helpful. The location was great.

The breakfast and other food were just okay and the building itself felt it's age. I was REALLY surprised it was rated so highly including in a travel magazine. It was not worth the price. I would have stayed in a newer hotel for less.

I don't write a lot of reviews but this place was so wonderful I had to. We travel a LOT and this was one of the nicest, friendliest places we ever stayed in. We stayed here for a few nights before Christmas and it was like a holiday in post card. Beautiful. The morning breakfast, evening drink and hors d'oeuvres, and night time deserts made the stay especially memorable as it provided time to meet and get to know the other guests. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Several of the other guests mentioned they were return visitors and had a consistent experience each time they stayed. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back. Thank you, Gastonian - You made our Christmas Wonderful!

This property is tastefully decorated and so comfortable. The room was very spacious. Staff was absolutely outstanding and always attentive. I highly recommend the Gastonian!! We will return.
