Inn by the Harbor

We had an excellent experience at Inn by the Harbor. Every staff member we encountered was kind, welcoming, and helpful. It was especially nice to arrive to happy hour with wine, cheese, and snacks at the front desk. The free vegetarian-friendly breakfast each morning was a great perk, with healthy options and fresh fruit available. The location was an easy walk to the harbor, and the free bikes with locks were convenient and hassle-free. The pool and on-site washer/dryer were also helpful amenities.

Nothing. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and convenient.

This is a nice little hotel with a cute kitchen. We were very happy with it—until I used the shower. About five minutes into the shower, the water became scalding hot, and there was no cold water at all. I turned off the shower and waited awhile. Eventually the temperature returned to normal, and I finished my shower. I did not immediately tell the management because I knew it was not an easy fix, I figured the problem was intermittent, and we didn’t want to change rooms. The second day, the shower was fine; however the third day, the water again became scalding hot never returned to normal. I washed my hair out in the sink. When I told the manager at checkout, I asked for a partial reimbursement, not because I truly wanted my money back; I simply wanted to impress upon him the seriousness of the problem. I emphasized that the problem was INTERMITTENT. We went up to the room, and he could not duplicate the problem, so I doubt it will ever be fixed. I shudder to think about a child or elderly person who cannot get out of the way fast enough and suffers with third-degree burns. Until this hotel takes safety violations seriously, I cannot recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful place to stay! Cozy, comfortable, and in a great location. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

One of our favorite things were the staff, Mickey and Aaron could not have been more friendly and helpful . They provided fantastic recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We loved the size of our room and it had a separate kitchen. The landscaping was beautiful and well-maintained. It was an added benefit to be able to share the facilities of Brisas Del Mar next door and have the use of bicycles to tour around Santa Barbara. Super Location.

We really enjoyed everything.
