The property is conveniently located and the lobby is really nice.

I recently stayed at the Gaylord Hotel in Washington, DC and was very disappointed with the overall experience, especially considering I paid approximately $400 each for two rooms. At that price point, I expected a much higher standard of comfort, maintenance, and quality. Unfortunately, both rooms fell short of expectations. The water pressure was extremely poor, making basic use of the shower frustrating. The bathroom sinks appeared to be partially clogged and did not drain properly. The refrigerators were not functioning as expected, which was inconvenient during our stay. In addition, the rooms themselves felt outdated and in need of upgrades. While the property has a strong reputation, the condition and functionality of the rooms did not reflect the premium price paid. I hope management will address these issues so future guests receive an experience that matches the cost and expectations associated with the Gaylord brand.

The shower was amazing! In my top 10, the water was just hot enough, the pressure was perfect and it was steamy. The bench made it that much better.

There were long lines to check in, but the staff were friendly and apologetic. When they found out it was my birthday, they gave me some freebies😍 so while I wish the line wasn't as long as it was, they more than made up for it.

I would strongly recommend choosing another hotel. I booked this property through my company’s discount site for a convention, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The front desk staff did not provide a warm welcome and seemed distracted during check‑in. After my card was charged and I signed the receipt, the employee claimed he didn’t see the approval and asked me to open my banking app to prove the transaction went through. This is not a standard or acceptable practice at any hotel I’ve stayed in. When I asked about parking, I was directed across the street near the Hampton Inn, with no explanation that it was a separate lot with an additional $50 fee. I was charged again on top of the payment I had already made at check‑in. At checkout, when I mentioned the issue, the staff member offered no apology and simply said he would credit the $50. The lack of accountability and basic customer service was disappointing. The resort fee is unjustified, as there is nothing about this property that reflects a resort experience. Overall, the service and management fell far below Marriott standards.

The check in process was slow. I was given the option to change from king bed to a better floor with a courtyard view queen bed which we did however, when we got to the room the view was of a rooftop of another building. Parking is expensive. The light show was underwhelming. The elevator situation is such a mess. Although so many only one opens after a long time and it's slow so everyone squeezes in. On this particular occasion we were so crammed and people using inappropriate language around kids. The day of check out the cleaning lady was so pushy to get us out I told her we have late check out and she goes well you have to go down to take to them or your card doesn't work. The breakfast was disgusting and only some items fresh. I'm not someone that's hard to please but this was one of the worst experiences. I would never return even for a convenient location.

Loved the location and the building was beautiful. Breakfast was good but would have liked other breakfast meats like turkey bacon or chicken sausage.

Everything I experienced was good but one overnight stay wasn’t enough time to experience everything the hotel had to offer.
