Cambria Hotel Akron - Canton Airport

Our stay at Cambria was very brief. We traveled to Canton to see the Hall of Fame Game, so we checked in, had dinner at the bar, and came back after the game and went to bed. Nonetheless, the beds were comfortable, spacious, and Cindy at the bar was lovely!

Updated interior, but room was not entirely clean upon check in, e.g., many hairs in the shower and bathroom in general and surfaces were not wiped down.

Upon check in we were given a room on the first floor. When we walked in, the room reeked of mildew. We went back the front counter and asked for our room to be changed. They stated that they were fully booked but the manager would look at the room. As it turns out, the room must of had a serious water leak because the carpet was soaked. It wasn’t until another guest complained about their room having mold that the the manager would actually listen to us and gave us another room. The decor here is not so much Cambria, and more remodeled Comfort Inn. The front desk employee was awesome as was the bartender. Food is boring and tasteless. Definitely avoid this place.

My stay was really nice. The staff was nice and efficient. The price was reasonable. My only complaint was the bkfst bar...the food options were limited (no healthy options)

The hotel itself is very nice. The issue that was, the first room smelled like sulfur, the second room. The air conditioning did not work, the third room did not smell fresh and clean. Finally, the fourth room was nice, but not the room type that I had reserved and paid for. All night, one and two the room was lightly cleaned. On days three and four, the rooms were not clean. I spoke with Management and they were more concerned with proving that the rooms had been cleaned. Why not just walk upstairs and see that the room was not cleaned. This is my experience and I do not generally complain, but this was ridiculous. I have stayed at this hotel chain in other cities and my Stay has always been wonderful, with the exception of this location.

Booked a 4-night stay well in advance. The night we were supposed to arrive we received a phone call at 10:30pm telling us that the hotel had no rooms due to a flooding problem and they could not honor our reservation. No assistance booking somewhere else was offered so we were on our own to find a different hotel at 10:30pm.

Social areas were very nice and well laid out. meal options were good. Only negative was no shuttle service to or from airport. Shuttle service is available free ‘only’ to corporate customers..which was a big negative. So, No problem because Uber was the go-to get around service. Minutes wait time only for the area.

It was a freeway hotel

Nothing. Our room was damaged and filthy dirty. Walking through the halls and looking around, all the vents were so dirty. Very expensive and no refund.
