French Quarter Inn

I recently stayed at the French Quarter Inn in Charleston, and it truly exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the historic district, making it easy to explore everything Charleston has to offer. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the entire stay. Even better, the price point was very competitive compared to other high-end hotels in the area, making it an outstanding value for the experience provided. Whether you’re planning a relaxing getaway or a family vacation, I highly recommend checking out the French Quarter Inn—it’s an absolute gem.

My husband and I spent the last 4 days at this wonderful boutique inn. This is our second visit in a few years to celebrate my birthday. The inn is beautiful and spotless. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown. The free breakfast and warm cookies in the evening only add to the charm. The service is exceptional. The concierge Bob is a true asset to the inn. He is warm and kind. The breakfast staff and the housekeeping staff are so friendly and hardworking. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the French Quarter Inn.

The hotel amenities are great and the staff really shines with efficient courtesy to make your stay a wonderful experience. The hotel has a great location near the market, shopping on King Street, walking to the harbor, and downtown restaurants. We have stayed here several times over the years and always had a wonderful experience.

Great location, classy, breakfast in the lobby (included) and bar. Staff is excellent... Kevin even got our car and loaded luggage without being asked. Loved Charleston and will be back and stay again at the FQI!!

This was a very nice place to stay during our visit to Charleston. Every staff member was pleasant and helpful. The hotel common areas as well as the room were very clean and tastefully decorated. I fell in love with all the art throughout the Inn! The French Quarter Inn offers complimentary breakfast, snacks and wine before heading out on the town, and sweets later on. You can also grab a hot or cold beverage throughout the day (the ice tea and lemonade hit the spot after a hot day of trudging around!). Zero complaints and will highly recommend to anyone traveling the Charleston

From check in to check out (4 nights), the staff here is amazingly warm and friendly. Room was spotless, we'll appointed and made up twice daily. The location makes everything within walking distance. Free breakfast daily and free wine, beer and cheese, meats etc. in the late afternoon. Oh, and fresh baked cookies and milk at night! Will stay here again without question on our next visit!

Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised. The photos online matched reality, which doesn’t always happen 😅 The room was cozy and the service was excellent.

What an incredible stay! From champagne on arrival to wine and cheese at 5:30 to cookies at 8:30, the service was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to offer conversation and advice. Our king room was lovely. Housekeeping included turn down and a chocolate every evening along with clean towels. Guests were mainly over 40 which was wonderful. The adage “you get what you pay for “ is very true here. It is expensive but so worth it. If you can catch a special, definitely book here. We had 15% off, free valet parking, and a $100 gift card for Hall’s restaurants which we used for the Sunday gospel brunch. The valet was great and we never waited more than 10 minutes for the car. The location is wonderful, although the street itself is not grand, and you can walk to most places. They do have a bar but we found the bar at the sister hotel The Spectator next door to be superior. Our only issue was the construction directly across the street from the main entrance and the view from our window. I requested a quiet room and had specifically asked about the construction. On the weekend it was fine, but during the week, they did start working around 8 am. It was tolerable since we were gone most of the day. However, you need to consider this if you sleep late. I would still 100% stay here again but probably only after the construction is done.

Where does one begin to describe the epitome of customer service with a side of casual elegance and classic southern charm? With the staff, of course! Bob, Kristen, Jose, Kim and Tyler, all contributed to a memorable stay. We thank all of you for making our repeat, though all to brief, stay, a wonderful experience. We love this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The tiny details, from the card that encases your room keys to the chocolates at turndown, thoughtfulness abounds. Breakfast is perfect, Tea Time is terrific and Cookies between 8-10pm is just adorable. We can’t wait to go back!!
