Comfort Inn Bloomington near University

The cleanliness was not what I was expected out of a hotel. There were stained bedsheets and trash from previous occupants. Most likely will not stay here again. however, the staff was friendly and the location was nice and walkable to restaurants and stores.

Front desk person (who checked me in) confronted me the next morning as I returned from my run and demanded I tell him my room number as proof that I was a guest. Room had lots of peeling paint and though the sheets were clean, overall was poorly maintained.

There was only a fitted sheet over the mattress, no mattress cover. Most hotels do the 3 sheet method that creates a barrier between mattress and what you lay on. I just thought that was gross, I slept on top of the bedding.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Comfort Inn. My room was clean and comfortable. The pool was closed for the season but I didn't come to swim. The bedding and mattress exceeded my expectations. Plenty of extra pillows. The shower had great pressure and the towels were fluffy and soft. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the lack of juice included in the free breakfast. There was coffee. Nothing more.

As I stated above, the only thing that didn't meet my expectations was the offering at breakfast. A bit of juice and maybe fruit would be a great addition.

Especially liked the check-in lady - professional, helpful, very cordial, informative.

the location was perfect and breakfast was less than perfect. New ownership and often out of milk, yogurt, variety was often missing during my 9 day stay.

the staff seemed aquatic, just seemed like their hands were tied. maybe you as owners should trust them to supply your guest with what is advertised and expected as standard fair in comfort inns. Suggest you give them some petty cash for emergency situations, or at least the ability to order form local suppliers.
