Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lafayette South

Arrived at this hotel after check in time. Get to the front desk and they tell me no room is ready an hour before wedding. I asked the lady at front desk about cancellation. She said it would be a fee because they couldn’t accommodate me. Another young lady simply said we can just change you to another room. The rooms were just okay. Needed paint. Needed new carpet. The bedding was the worst I’ve experienced in several years of traveling. They could have upgraded the pillows. The pillows were so old they turned yellow. Needless to say I’ll never go back to this place. I’m disappointed.

Loved the location. Easy to get around where we wanted to go.

Our last night there, the room above us, we could hear kids or whoever jumping, stomping, sounded like they were jumping off the beds, running, this was at bedtime. I tried calling the front desk and no answer. I actually went down to the desk and told the night person what was happening. She stated she would call up there. It sounded like it got worse after that. It was just frustrating when you do not sleep and then get up the next morning and drive.

Every time I visit I stay here and have never had a bad experience great place to stay

We stayed here for my daughter’s college orientation and it was convenient for getting to UL. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and the beds were comfortable. I also loved the view of the river. I hate that we were not able to try out the pool, which was why I originally chose this hotel but the weather did not permit it on the day that we had available. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Big rooms. Comfortable and Clean.

The best part was the view from our room to the Vermilion River!
