Eastwood Hall

We thought this place might be too posh for us, however everyone was just lovely. We used the gym for a session which we enjoyed.

We found the shower curtain by the bath totally inadequate and water was everywhere.

Gluten free options limited. There is a strange idea where you have to stand outside the restaurant & using a tablet on the wall, scroll and scroll through a list of items on the menu to check for allergens. If you're lucky the list will be on screen, if not you will be hanging around trying to attract the attention of a member of staff to reset it for you. No option to search??! If you want a pudding after your meal you have to leave the rest of your companions at the table & go back outside to again scroll & scroll through the list. I would have liked a dessert, but by then had lost the will to live. Come on! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. It's not hard to just have GF or other symbols for allergens on the menu.

Location

It was like a training center, not a hotel. Focussed on profit, very prescriptive rooms. I paid £220 per room, it was a standard room with an extra bed (camp bed), didn’t even have a fridge. Food very compass, contract catering cheap breakfast. I travel every week and this was very disappointing for the price.

We always have a pleasant stay here, its always nice and clean, friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble, the food and drinks are always good aswell 😀 Thank you!!
