The Mount Country Manor Hotel & Golf

Not worth the money. We were put in the 70s annex. Would of preferred the old original building. And we did not get our VIP discount for the drinks purchased at the bar.

I have to say that I wasn’t sure what to expect but I think my daughter and I actually found the most helpful, polite and attentive staff in any hotel we have stayed in. Such a wonderful team. A big thank you to Neil and the team in reception and Damian and the bar team for keeping us entertaining late in the evening. The rooms was also amazing. Gutted we only had one night. This time……

The food was excellent. We arrived on our first night after an eventful day. Damian, the bar manager, could not have been better. In fact all if the staff were excellent.

Overpriced accommodation - think you’re going to be in the main house and then get stuck in a 70s extension at the back. Rooms are dated and menu is limited. Waiter, Jennife was excellent and very attentive but the food seemed to take a while to arrive. No air con in main dining area on a very hot day. Beautiful gardens and decent parking but experience certainly did not live up to the cost.

Friendly, helpful staff. Quick check in. Clean and beautifully decorated. Room well furnished but bit on small side. Good bathroom and toiletries

Did not like the fact we had to leave a £50 deposit when checking in, was led to believe this was to held against any room charges but when checking out was told the amount would not be offset and would be refunded within 30 days by the bank. We had room 37, the lower sash window glass had been obscured so to see out at ground level you had to open the window. However, when the window was open you had the noise of what I believe was an air conditioning fan cycling on and off.

Very clean hotel, lovely setting, extremely helpful and polite staff. The only thing that let is down was the vegan breakfast offering, which was huge disappointment, particularly for the price. Which is a shame as the other breakfasts looked delicious.

Lovely staff, good food, my wife's guide dog made very welcome.

Hair on towel and pillow. 😩
