Hampton Inn & Suites Florence-Downtown

Very clean, convenient, and overall pleased

We enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn & suites in Florence. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We will be staying again when in town.

We were treated nicely from check in to check out! The room was clean, the breakfast was great (especially for "these days of COVID-19!) Thank you Hampton, Downtown Florence, AL!

The property is very dated. I’m not sure how many visitors come through, it it’s apparent the hotel is not cleaned daily. The halls smell very moldy, it’s even stronger in the rooms, along with the bedding smelling very musty. I went through 3 rooms before finding one I could semi breathe in. Other issues were the tub plug was forced down so hard in one room, the water did not drain so there was no way to take a shower. I tried calling the front desk only to find my hotel phone didn’t work. I mentioned all this to the desk and all she could do was call maintenance to come later in the evening. Mind you I just drove 13 hours. The staff was not rude by any means. I take into account Covid, lack of workers, holidays. The manager did make it up by giving me points towards a future visit with Hilton. The condition of the facility did not reflect the Hilton name. This hotel is very low budget.

We were a bit early and were told that the suite we reserved was not going to be ready till later in the afternoon. They could put us (5 people) in a standard room with 2 double beds but they wouldn't allow us to move to the suite when it was ready, we didn't feel like those accommodations would be very comfortable for the 5 of us. So, after driving for almost 7 hours and 3 children in the car all night we ended up trying to find a hotel that had a suite that would be more fitted to our needs. 1 1/2 hours later, 3 very uncomfortable children and 2 extremely exhausted parents, we found a suite that was cheaper and had 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen and living room/family room and we're able to check in 3 hours earlier then the normal check inn! All in all we are extremely happy we didn't settle for the Hampton inn and found a different hotel.

Good location central to local attractions. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
