Lady Gregory Hotel, Leisure Club & Beauty Rooms

Access and parking was easy. The staff were welcoming and great to work with. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was O.K.

When we first arrived (June 11) the heat in the room was on as high as it could go (27 C=80.6F). Because the heating was delivered through the floor it took several hours for the room to cool down to the point we could be in it, even with the windows wide open. Save yourselves some $ and monitor the heat. The TV remote had no batteries. We had the proper size batteries, installed and left them for the next occupants. Seems like the remotes could easily be checked by staff just by turning the TV on and off after every occupant departs. The pillows are too flat (no loft) and hard. Please invest in some decent pillows. The men's changing room at the spa could use a regular cleaning. The steam room in the spa was in horrible condition. There were tiles missing from the walls and floor and there were broken tiles scattered on the floor. It was not clear whether towels were provided at the spa or if we were to bring our own from the room to use.

The only negative is the was no air conditioner at the property and we went on one of the warmest day of the year

The location,staff and bedrooms are good. Lovely bar area. Could be great with a bit of management.

The general area of reception to bar area needs deep cleaning. Carpet on corridors not clean. Sides of doors and door handles dirty. Breakfast was only mediocre and the dinner also. Screens instead of shower curtains would be much better. Really good powerful shower and loads of hot water all the time. Could be a great hotel. Lots of character.

Breakfast at Lady Gregory was very nice and plenty. The room were were given was huge and the beds were comfortable. We ate dinner at the bar and the food was very nice. The staff were friendly.

We had two rooms booked. The 2nd room had a noisy bathroom fan which could not be switched off and woke my family in the early hours of the morning. We reported it to reception to resolve for the next guests. It was just a one off issue and I'm sure they will recolve it straight away.

Lovely hotel, very spacious room. Quiet and had a great night's sleep.
