Nora Lakeview Hotel

Stayed a week at the hotel, though it needs to be updated the cleaning staff do a good job of cleaning the rooms. There is noise from the surrounding bars but I found the inconsiderate people coming in late woke me up. You are a quick walk to the beach, great place to go is Eat Sense, they have great beach lounges and all you do is a spend 350baht per person.

This hotel is ideal if you just want to sleep and shower. No additional frills. I would go again.

This Hotel was excellent, it was a skip away from the beach, restaraunts all around, pub just a few steps away.... the staff were amazing, very very helpful and very very friendly....

Close to the main drag of Koh Samui, extremely close to the beach without being on it, close to anything you could want in regards to shopping, eating etc. Try and get a room on the opposite side of the lake as the music will keep you awake until 4am.

Checked in for one night in order to catch an early flight from Ko Samui the next morning. Was shown to my room, given restaurant recommendations and directions from two chirpy, welcoming members of staff. The room itself was huge, clean, bug-free, air-conned and had a lovely bathroom with western toilet and high power hot water (refreshing change from your average hostel). There's also a free fridge and safe in every room. On the downside, it's on Ko Samui's main strip so it's pretty noisy the whole night through. Would definitely use this as a stopover hotel again.

Me and a friend stayed for about a week and loved it.10 minutes from the center and to the other side, 10 minutes from beit chabad, and 3 minutes from the beach. Very nice and helpful stuff. Our room was a bit noisy from the bars outside, so take into consideration.

Is very basic hotel with an excellent location. It seems as if the Nora Chain is putting lots of invest,ment to toehr facilities and has left this hotel behind. Rooms are HUGE and comfortable but neither the elevator nor the phone was working during my stay.

Located on Chaweng Beach, on the second line. I lived for one night at Delux and Superior room. A room at a discount cost $ 31. Differences between the numbers did not notice. The hotel has four floors, the elevator was not working. The room has air conditioning, safe, private bathroom, free wireless Internet access, mini bar, 2 bottles of water free of charge. The bathroom towels were dirty! In addition to poor insulation, up to 3-30 am could hear music from the club by the lake. On the ground floor there is a good restaurant. This hotel for rest is not recommended.

Ok, per other reviews the Lakeview IS noisy - don't bother paying for the deluxe room which I did (wondered why it was only £2 a night extra) as these are corner rooms and the noisiest in the hotel. The receptionist told me this when I arrived and I quite happily agreed to take a standard room instead. The quality of the room was very good and it was actually a pretty huge room anyway and I was staying alone, so no harm done. The hotel is incredibly central on the main strip and you can walk anywhere, plus plenty of cabs outside for the airport and further afield which was just what I needed for a short 3 night stay after being out in the jungle in Phangan for a week. The noise didnt bother me as I was out until most of it died down anyway. The only other negative is that being next to a busy steak restaurant there is a faint cooking smell at all times - I must admit I gave the room a quick spritz of perfume each time I got back. I would say it was very competitively priced nevertheless and the lake behind is the setting for the annual Lotus festival which was absolutely delightful.

Perfect location and a friendly and helpful staff. Close to nice beaches, good restaurants and great bars. Very noisy until about 4/5 in the morning, due to live music in the surrounding bars. Spacious and clean rooms. Absolutely recommendable, but bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper...
