"Not Excellent"

This hotel had excellent ratings but I honestly don’t know how. It was dingy and had a musty smell. The floors and furniture were stained and dirty. The pillows are absolutely pathetic.

The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling and the bath tub was stained, as well as the fixtures. Very out dated and run down. The staff was friendly tho. Also, carpet was worn and I need of replacement.

The plus side is that the front desk was very pleasant. And breakfast was average...ok. However, the rates were triple because of graduation of Texas Tech which is why I was there, so it was price gouging big time. The facilities are old and outdated. The room itself was ok, but the carpet needed to be replaced, and my biggest complaint was the bathroom condition. Really rough. Not what you would expect in the Hilton group. Paint peeling from the ceiling. Stained bath tub and fixtures. Toilet seat loose. Just not fitting for a typical Hampton in my experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the facilities need serious intervention.I can't recommend.

"Nice hotel but uncomfortable bed"

Hotel in great location. Friendly staff and check in efficient. Lobby and breakfast area clean. Room clean, except for bathroom. Very obvious housekeeping does not maintain the corners of the room and paint was peeling off the bathroom shower ceiling. The hotel halls and the rooms doors are in need of a paint job as there are black marks everywhere. The biggest con is the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and this hotel uses those small square bed pillows. Hotel was nice enough, but I would probably choose a different hotel next time just so I could get a good nights sleep.
