Hampton Inn Gainesville-Haymarket

This was our second time staying at the Hampton Inn Gainesville. The staff was always courteous, polite, and helpful and our room was always clean. There was always fresh coffee available at night and especially during the daytime and the facility was quiet.

Easy access to on/off ramp for Hwy 66, restaurants a 2 min walk from front door, loved the new feature that allows purchase of wine and beer in lobby

The yound lady at check in was not welcoming, no smile, seemed somewhat annoyed at having to serve us, we stayed in room 202 which was right beaide the train tracks outside so we felt and heard multiple trains going by, the hvac sounded like a jet airplane when it started up and thumped when turning off, and the breakfast was awful with powdered egg omelets with processed cheese and cold hash browns. Despite the good features we will stay somehere else next trip

Location, access to target, Sephora, home goods, good options, highway, etc BUT next to the train track which was TERRIBLE when a train went by in the night.

The trains passing by that kept everyone up and the fact that the front desk woman was rude to me and my husband, so much so that she gave me the middle finger. I would never stay here again and on Google there are other reviews of her behavior. We spoke to the manager and he couldn’t care less. We actually opened up a ticket and complaint with corporate.
