Desk staff was asked to locate my cell phone charger ,she .pawned it off blamed it on cleaning staff. I wasn't out of the building ten minutes. I did leave it in the wall.

Originally the Stoney Creek Hotel, Purchased by new owners that don't seem to be from around the snowy area of the upper Midwest. The place looks the same as we remembered it from years back - But the staff and upkeep seemed to lack the care we remembered.

First of all, I would like to thank you for accommodating our stay at Cedar Creek hotel. We love Stoney Creek dearly and wouldn't choose any other place to stay in the Marathon County area. I would like to comment on our stay and some aspects that caused discouragement with the hotel overall. While staying at the hotel and leaving throughout the day, the staff did not clean our room. I feel we left our suite in a condition that allowed for cleaning. But we didn't receive that attention for our suite, not even for a single day during our stay or the extended days. We had to go to the front desk twice just to get more toiletries and towels. The staff cleaned the suite across from us. When we mentioned that we would like our room taken care of while we'll be out, we came back to our used towels on the ground and the trash bags we collected within the room still next to where we left them for the staff. We even helped clean up in preparation for them. While staying I want to mention that Rachel delivered exceptional service, as did a Hispanic gentleman I spoke with on our last day who was willing to check out our room. However, he seemed like a staff member I hadn't seen over the weekend. I imagine our room would have been cleaned properly if he had been covering it instead of the older couple who cleaned the room across from ours. Regarding the weather and the hotel management's upkeep of the parking lot, I personally spent two hours shoveling snow out of the Cedar Creek hotel lot just to move my car to an area with less snow. Along with helping others move their vehicles to the Holiday Inn Suites across the street, which was freshly plowed and salted by 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. That day we decided to stay another night and unexpectedly spent over two hours cleaning, moving, and helping other hotel guests resolve their situations.
