OYO Hotel San Antonio Lackland near Seaworld

I don’t blame the hotel, I blame Expedia for giving this place a 4 star rating when every other place gives a 1-2 star rating. Broken peeling walls, bugs, broken shower. We lasted about 20 minutes before we decided to leave. Felt unsafe and decided to go. Staff was nice.

The staff weren’t nice but they weren’t rude either.

The room smelled dingy. The place looks sketchy. There were a lot of people outside in the parking lot cars coming and going people hanging out on the stair’s.. Then at around 4 in the morning some guy was knocking at the door I tried to ignore the knocking, but he was knocking so hard. He was waking up my kids. I asked what he wanted through the window. He asked for a charger. I told him I didn’t have a charger. Then like in 20 minutes, there was knocking at my door again I just ignored it. But it was pretty scary

Breakfast was okay. it was a clean area.

One of our rooms didn't have the second bed made. I was worried that the sheets were not clean. I didn't like that we had to carry our remote controls to each room and return them when we checked out. They also charged me $8.42 more a couple of days later on my card; when I told asked them what the charge was for they said that there was no such charge. I even sent a copy of my bank statement showing the withdrawal from my account!!

I liked everything and it was very quiet

The TV is dim is not bright enough don't know how to work the remote that's it

Location worried me a little, I guess I wasnt too familiar with area, although it was comfortable and convenient for my husband to get to work and avoid the morning traffic. I would most definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends.

The room and facilities were in such bad condition that we did not stay after seeing the room. It is an old motel that hasn't been updated in a long time.

The motel had a car parked in the way that had a flat tire. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling, around the tub and behind the toilet. The tub/shower was so old that they had painted it and the paint was peeling. The bathroom light was hanging from one side. The sink countertop had cigarette burns. The refrigerator had a cover over it that was separated from the side support. The exterior fire alarm pull box was tied to another pipe because it had become detached from the building. We went back the next day to take pictures and have submitted them to you customer service department when we request a refund. I tried to attach photos to this review but was unable to transfer the files. photos were forwarded on previous correspondence. I have traveled to third world countries and had better accommodations.
