Hotel Playa Bejuco

Clean rooms, a good breakfast and amazingly close to the beach...all at a good value.

Years after Europe and North America are nuked this property will still be standing and the perfect location for the jungle rebels who will be fighting to preserve their sanity because they have water filters and the structure is largely made of concrete.

They said the restaurant was 24/7 but it is not !

A little dated but nice property. Nice pool, good rooms, great staff. ONLY PROBLEM: there are no blackout curtains so the room is super bright since around 5am (sunrise) and from the front of the room all night due to the hallway's light which may make it impossible to have a good sleep for some people. Breakfast is good with good variety also the restaurant for lunch and dinner with affordable prices.

Close to beach. Not far from main road, but still quite. It did rain hard while were here, but we enjoyed the stay anyway. There was an iguana sunning with me at the pool in the morning :)

Lovely one-night stay here on way up from Osa to Nicoya Peninsula. The room was clean and comfortable. What was most impressive was the friendliness of the staff. I had to leave early before the included breakfast time, and they took the effort to pack up some food to go. Beyond excellent customer service! A few details in the room could be updated, but overall a nice experience. I would stay here again! Family friendly and quiet which I appreciated.

Great location; view of beach is excellent. The hotel room was not the standard we expected. Mattress was uncomfortable. There are no drawers or shelves to put clothes for a week stay. Bathroom is not good. Too short shower curtain; water splashes everywhere. Tile grout is in need of replacement. Sink is too shallow and water spashes everywhere. Toilet does not flush well; takes 2 or 3 tries to flush everything down. Staff is very accommodating and pleasant. Restaurant has great dinners and breakfast is well done. We left after 3 days because we wanted a place closer to activities we wanted; we were willing to give up 3 days of prepaid hotel service to find a hotel more conveniently located near tourist attractions and with better conditions. Overall, it’s a lovely location and great layout, but in need of many upgrades.

Located right near the beach, a dated but good hotel by Costa Rican standards. Large room could do with a facelift. Good breakfast, made good use of pool. Shout out to fantastic Mildred who offered fabulous customer service with her big smile and open, friendly advice.

The staff at Hotel Playa Bejuco were courteous, helpful, and professional and spoke English for those of us who aren't up to snuff on our Español. The rooms were very nice and the photos really don't do this spot justice. The hot tub is not hot but it may just be out of service at the moment. The beach, Bejuco, is a short walk away and very few people (compared to other beaches in the area) frequent this beach. The beach is also very family friendly with long shallow surf that kids can go out in and play without it dropping off suddenly or creating heavy surf. Highly recommend it and hope to return again someday.
