Playa Palms Beach Hotel

Property was a small boutique hotel. We had a presidential suite, well worth the upgrade. The beach is very small, so If you are beach going, like we are you will have to walk down a few blocks to a public beach. That beach is very nice.The price was right on the mark for this hotel. The location is great as far as being waterfront and very close to the main shopping and dining street in playa del Carmen.

I last stayed at Playa Palms quite a few years ago and I was pleasantly surprised that the friendliness of staff and conditions of the hotel still stayed the same. Excellent… Considering it is close to nightclubs and the busy 5ta avenida the rooms are very quiet. As a solo traveler I felt safe and found everything conveniently located, very walkable. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Very nice friendly people working here. The nite light outside the office i could have done without as it lit up our room at night. I was under the impression that we were seafront. Like a rock wall docking area since beach area was washed away. Not their fault but not was i was expecting. Overall very nice and already planning on returning next year

The private beach for the property has washed almost completely away. Pictures of hotel need to be updated. There's about 20ft of sand from the end of the deck. Very disappointing on that front. Aside from that, it was a nice place. Pretty, quiet, security at the door on the overnights. Not much in terms of food or drink though. Besides a small breakfast, you have to leave the hotel for everything. No kitchen or bar.

Exceptional place to stay located close to groceries, kitchenette offset the escalating hyperinflation around playa del carmen. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Their pool and landscaping very stylish and unique. We unfortunately lost our key and were charged 25$ in which unfortunately would not be be something I would do in my business, mistakes have to be made to learn. Swim able beach is a short 5 minute walk and they do have lawn chairs overlooking the blue ocean.

Location good, but no beach

Great staff! They were helpful and kept the property and rooms extremely clean. While this is ocean front property the beach is very small and not really swimable. I would not stay here with kids. But it was great for a couple just wanting to relax on the beach. The location is great. Dozens of dining and shopping options within easy walking distance. We walked everywhere and never felt unsafe.

Excellent find in Playa!

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is amazing, right on the beach and just down the street from 5th Ave. The staff were all great and the hotel is really nice with views of the ocean.
