Secrets Aura Cozumel - Adults Only - All Inclusive

We got 4 rooms in 6 nights. The ceilings were leaking in every room. Literally caving in. Managernwas extremely rude like it was our fault. No staff knew what restaurants were open, ever. Front desk, concierge over the phone, and even staff in the restaurants were clueless. Front desk was so unenthusiastic about helping at all- busy on their cell phones. We were never given the promised bottle of wine or cheese plate on arrival. We were promised a bottle of wine after our 2nd room move, and that never came. There is not 1 good thing I can say about this place. The beach is dirty. The sand is crunchy. Lots of construction noise. Staff is openly rude.

This is a sweet and quaint resort on a stunning stretch of Cozumel beach. The location is eveything. You can snorkel right there off the beach. Rooms were clean and comfy. A/C and hot water both worked great. Staff was wonderful. Most seemed to really ejoy their jobs. This place is not fancy and if you want fancy you will probably be disappointed. But if you're looking for a peaceful, quiet resort with stunning views and sunsets, I highly recommend Secrets. Now I have to admit I was not too happy with the check-in and how long it took......but once we finally got to our room we couldn't have been happier. The food wasn't the best we've ever had but it certainly wasn't bad. Unless you're super picky, you'll always find something delicious to eat. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return someday in the future.

We love our vacations at Secrets Aura Cozumel. The staff are excellent, especially Moses, our concierge, Sergio, our server at breakfast at Oceana, Rosanna, the hostess at Oceana.

Abismal. Poor. Disappointing. Over priced. The property needs a major remodel. Our room was falling apart. The light fell out of the ceiling in the bath room on the first night. The Air conditioning didn’t work and wasn’t fixed until after our second night. The jacuzzi in the room didn’t work. There was no plug to even use the jacuzzi/tub in our room. Lots of spiders in our room. Not a lot of activities available. New Year’s Eve party was more like a boring chamber of commerce meeting than an end of year celebration. Food was poor quality. Left over food was recycled to buffet the next day. We came as a group and everyone had various issues with their rooms. Staff is great as long as you feed them tips constantly. If not they will act like you are a problem. Don’t bother complaining to the desk agents or consierge they will promise to fix everything and then never follow up when they say they will. WiFi never worked in our room. TV only worked on the last night of our week long stay. Maintenance showed up twice. Once to fix the AC, then again to fix the AC that was already fixed!?! Elevator in the building we were in didn’t work for a couple days. House keeping took our towels and didn’t replace them with fresh ones 3 times. House keeping went though our luggage, didn’t take anything but clearly went through our belongings.

Definitely not a 5 Star Resort. Nothing good about this resort. Inadequatel service, cold showers and cold food, then this is your place!

Being a UVC member we expect the nice luxurious accommodations as promised along with the preferred club benefits for the amount of money it costs you. This resort has no separation for preferred / non-preferred . Why pay more for preferred then ??? We have stayed at several secrets resorts. Secrets should be embarrassed to say this is a secrets resort ! Not many restaurants, couple were closed the whole time we were there. Buffet was terrible, cold food, bugs all over the food in the bakery deli area. All Pools ICE cold. The so called preferred pool had ladders to get in and out. Not a walk in Pool. Only good thing about this resort was we were moved to an ocean front room. Gorgeous view and sunsets every night. Preferred lounge was a joke compared to other resorts. Very run down resort. They need to close and update !

The beach/pool towels were clean & fresh.

The property was really worn and in need of an overhaul - steps leading to the rooms were crumbling, sun lounges were broken & rusted and tiles missing in the shower recess. The food was tasteless and despite having multiple venues there was a definite lack of variety, as a number of venues have closed. The alcohol (spirits) was diluted and very cheap brands!

Got engaged at Secrets Aura! We had a lovely time. The beach with beautiful, the restaurants and the service were amazing. The lovely hostess at the buffet remembered us every day and remembered my diet restriction. Carlos and Rodrigo at roof top hibachi were amazing and that was a great experience and delicious food. We had an amazing time playing beach/ pool volleyball and participating in events. Wendy, Temo, and Irving with the entertainment committee really made our time memorable! We also did hydrotherapy at the spa which was amazing for the price and such a unique experience. Our room was clean and going down the water slide outside our room was so fun. Overall, an amazing trip.

Mediocre resort, beach and pools are fine, but food is shockingly bad compared to other Secrets resorts. I probably would not go again. Other families were leaving early due to being literally hungry from no food options.

The level of room you select makes all the difference. I originally was booked into a swim up room that was not a preferred members room and was later moved due to having no running water. If you are a preferred member the rooms are very nice other than that very outdated.
