JH Adams Inn, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The pictures online are deceiving. The property sits along a busy highway. While the rooms were spacious, the furniture is older and had scratches. The decor is random and the furniture pieces did not match in our room. The online marketing description promised a buffet breakfast which was more like a continental breakfast. Breakfast was served from 6:30 am to 9 am. We arrived at 8 am and the few cooked items available were gone and had not been replenished. (Eggs, sausage and bacon) We were so excited to stay here as online marketing made us think we were going to drive up to an old southern mansion. This was not the case. Again, the property is located on a busy highway with constant traffic driving by. This can be heard from your room throughout the day and night. The back of the property is a paved parking lot. I must say staff were very accommodating and nice which was the best part of the stay. The property is also close to the Stock and Grain Food Hall which I highly recommend. However, if you are looking for a nice place with southern charm and sitting outside and relaxing and sipping on a sweet iced tea, this is not the place for you.

We loved the uniqueness of the building, the comfort, the room and amenities. My only suggestion is, we were coming into town very late at night and this was our first time visiting. We were confused if we were at the right location. The sign for the restaurant dominates over the sign for the hotel so we circled a couple times, trying to figure out where to enter, park, etc. Aside from that though, it was a lovely stay!

The whole experience at the Inn exceeded our expectations. 5/5

The hotel is in terrible condition. Paint chipping off the ceiling, water stains running down walls, toilet seat area decaying underneath so seat is unstable. Restaurant was in similar condition. Hotel check in area was in an odd location and difficult to find. Lots of stairs which were not a problem for my son and I but for anyone older it could be a problem. Pictures online are not at all accurate.
