Was just what the Dr ordered after climbing Snowdon twice over a weekend - Would certainly use it again

The hotel was nice, the breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately the bar was very expensive for a round of drinks.

Very nice hotel, with lovely food

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout my stay. Every member of the team I encountered was approachable and attentive, making it clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable — a perfect space to unwind after a long day. The bed was cozy, the bathroom spotless, and all the facilities were in good working order. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and tidy, which made for a restful night’s sleep. I also had a chance to try the food in the bar, and it exceeded expectations. The menu was varied, and everything I ordered was tasty and well-presented. It’s always a bonus when hotel dining is genuinely enjoyable rather than just convenient, and in this case, it really was. Breakfast the next morning was another highlight, with a wide selection of options available, including well-prepared vegetarian choices. It was fresh, plentiful, and served in a pleasant dining area — a great way to start the day. Overall, this hotel ticked all the boxes for a comfortable and pleasant stay. With its friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, and great food options, I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travellers.

Fantastic location

I booked a lower priced room that put me in a building across from the lodge, on the ground floor, down a dark hall, and the last door. No wifi, shower leaked for guest prior so carpet was soaked. Bed was hard with ridges in mattress. No take away cups for coffee this morning. Staff very concerned if i was a guest i hah to verify my name and room number every time i walked into a hotel space. No take away cups for coffee, when everyone is there to go to the train station why couldn't i take a cup of coffee with me this rainy morning.

Really enjoyed our stay. Check in was sorted in 2 minutes, staff were polite and helpfull. We ate at the hotel both nights and drank in the bar. Prices were reasonable for in the hotel. Hotel itself could be said to be a little dated but it is a historic older building. We liked it and would book this hotel again. Hope to return in near future.

The Hotel is at a great area, everything pretty much walkable. The hotel itself is extremely outdated and needs to be updated in order to charge as much as they do. The room I was staying in was horrible small, barely any room to walk. The walls were extremely thin, literally can hear everything. The whole room shakes when someone will slam the door. The mattress is worn and the pillows are so thin. For someone with back issues, probably not the place to stay. I booked this room including breakfast, but I would have not paid 18 pounds for the selection they had.
