La Quinta by Wyndham Walker - Denham Springs

We booked an executive room, but upon arrival we were told it was a “mistake” and were refused that room category. Instead, we were given a cheaper room, yet we were still charged the executive rate. This is unacceptable: the issue was not our fault (it was either Booking.com’s or the hotel’s error), but we were the ones who suffered the consequences. We are very dissatisfied and wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you expect fair handling of reservations and getting what you paid for.

Comfortable, clean, location, breakfast

The staff was all very nice and attentive

Nice area for our dogs and eventhough they said they charged for dogs the did not charge us , we only had to sign a pet agreement.

Our room had not been cleaned, but they quickly put us in a different room that was cleaned.

Great location and staff. Love free breakfast and the fact that dogs are allowed.

The first time I stayed here I stayed on the 1st floor. On the first floor, the room was much cleaner and updated. However, this last visit we were placed on the third floor. It was not updated the same way and the room felt dirty. There was also a heavy smoke smell even though I booked a non smoking room. I won’t be staying again unless I am guaranteed a room on 1st floor.
