We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Brook Lodge while spending some time hiking and exploring Lake Placid. My children loved the bunk beds and the room was very clean and comfortable. The motel needs a bit of TLC and it appears that there is some work being done to upgrade things. The outward appearance is a bit rough around the edges, but the room itself had everything we needed and was charming. It seems the staff really took pride in the cleanliness of the rooms and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Overall, a great visit and a nice stay!

"A clean budget hotel"

The hotel is dated and a little worn but clean. Checkin was straight forward and without hassle. The beds were just ok comfort wise. I was here with my son to go hiking and it was good for that.
