Staybridge Suites Cleveland Mayfield Heights Beachwood by IHG

I didn’t utilize the food option included in our stay, I had a kitchen, and was visiting family so I didn’t need it, though it looked fine. There were lots of young families, kids galore, having fun and loving it. Not a problem, just happy kids waiting to splash, dash, and play. Yet the evening was quiet and restful.

The suite was nice and comfortable for three. The staff were very personable and professional. The front desk staff member, Zee, was especially helpful and sincere when upon checkout I let her know about the kitchen sink not draining properly and an issue with the dishwasher. She apologized for any inconvenience it may have caused and immediately credited my bill for the issue.

Bought my family of 6 here for 2 nights to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday! All he wanted to do was swim! The hotel exceeded expectations! The room was clean and spacious and it was nice and quiet. The kids had a great time in the pool and made lots of friends with other hotel guests! They offer free breakfast and dinner. The dinner wasn’t that great BUT a nice gesture and it was easy to get the kids to run in from the pool and eat quickly. Overall great experience and look forward to returning!!

Hotel is clean for the most part. Food was satisfactory and decent amenities.

We stayed here back in April and the stay was great. This stay was just okay. My biggest concern I have is the room we stayed in which was room 101. It had a lot of water damage in the bathroom and in the kitchen and also mold as well. The carpet aligned from the kitchen to the sitting area was completely ripped from the floor. My child kept stepping on something that kept poking him in his foot. Both of my children are immune compromised and the mold from the bathroom and the kitchen was not a good mix for my child who has asthma. Another thing is as soon as you walk in the room you can feel the dampness like it's a breeding ground for mold and other hazardous things to grow. For the most part the food was good but if you are very picky with meat you have to ask the kitchen if they have any other meat besides beef and pork and they will make it for you. It should be more of a variety of meats especially when people come from out of state to visit it should be a questionnaire to fill out through an app or even through text to let the staff know that these types of foods should be offered on these days. Also one of the side doors doesn't close correctly so someone could definitely get in without a key card. Some of the staff seemed a little irritated for whatever reason maybe. I feel some changes could be made to make the place feel a little bit more cleaner like dehumidifiers and even housekeeping doing a more thorough job of cleaning the rooms.

We had a good night's sleep, the bedding was great. The property is decent, but it would have been so much better if Management replaced the old chairs, dirty, old couches in the suites, and washed or replaced the curtains, which were filthy. The staff was great. The hotel just needs some serious TLC from Management.

Someone needs to train the housekeeping staff how to clean behind the doors in the bathrooms + other areas. Obviously, no one inspects their work. Stayed there both times now for a total of six nights and the poor housekeeping is the reason why I'm not returning. Breakfast bar was nice.

Breakfast was good. Location was right near a main street where everything was located. Staff was nice but the front desk staff member I think his name was Daquan was literally amazing. We had some issues with the gas grill and he came out to help and when he didn't know what to do he looked into it so that he could help us. I know we kept bugging him lol but he kept helping with a smile on his face. I know he had to be hot everytime he came outside for us because he was in a long sleeve sweater and it was burning up out there! I give him a 10 out of 10 all by hisself !

The back of the bathroom door and some of the wall had some yellow spots on it. Kinda looked like old dried up pee.

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Guys I'm not a fancy guy, but this was terrible and the customer service is way off and how they treated my wife. We got in and there was a mold, humid, gross smell in the room. Upon going to the front desk and reporting, they offer my wife a spray bottle that would help with the smell. And stated "this has never happened before". We left the hotel and called hotels.com to help. Customer service with Hotel.com was fantastic and called the hotel to change our room. Because they had said they could not do anything because I booked through a 3rd party. That said, came back to hotel and the front desk took me to 3 different rooms to check and see if the smell was better in those rooms and it was the same. Horrible, gross, unclean and just dirty rooms. After checking other rooms we got one that had a better smell but still was not ok. Not asking for a 5 star hotel, just a decent, clean place to stay with family. My recommendation for the price I paid for 2 nights, which was CRAZY and the service, not worth it. Not good. Don't recommend. Would say hot Breakfast was not bad. After our stay checking out I was standing for 10 minutes in the front desk and nobody came to check me out. After I left they ask me how was my stay and I reported the same thing as I'm putting in this review. They said they would give me a discount, but the same thing as it's through a 3 party they can't. RIGHT!!! Convenient. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

The hotel Staybridge suites was excellent. Very clean, updated, comfortable bed with a sofa as well. The best part was the free breakfast. Krisha was the person that worked with a couple of others to prepare a delicious breakfast every morning. She was so sweet, provided excellent customer service and greeted us like we were family every morning. I was shocked at the healthy choices. They served healthy foods, like oatmeal, eggs, blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, yogurt, fresh fruit, sausage and bacon. Hash brown potatoes and sweet potatoes. Croissants and sweet bread. Fresh orange juice coffee and tea. I can go on and on about the food. So many choices and all you can eat. This saved us so much money. We ate enough for breakfast and lunch.
