Candlewood Suites Wichita Falls at Maurine Street by IHG

While the staff was certainly friendly, the room that I got (114) smelled like if 50 people had smoked in there for several days. My wife and I could barely slept due to the bad smell. That room was supposedly a non-smoking one. The hotel also looks outdated

The staff was exceptional kind & helpful. The location was very user friendly from the restaurants & Walmart to grab last minute things.

We made a trip to Dallas-Fort Worth on a mission to see if we would want to live there after a job offer. I am high risk of dying from Covid, if I get it - we wanted to isolate as much as possible. We stayed in Wichita Falls, because of less Covid cases there (as opposed to Dallas) and it cut the drive to and from Denver. Candlewood Suites was very comfortable and clean, plus it has everything you need to make meals in the room - full refrigerator, cook top, dishwasher and microwave plus dishes, pots, pans, glasses and flatware. We appreciated the amenities and would stay here again, if passing through.

Good hotel, close to Denny's. Exactly what we expected. This was a rest stop on our trip. Good clean safe place to stay.

Roach bugs in bathroom, floor molding tiles unglued, very heavy deodorizing treatment of room.

I was concerned when walking through the parking lot. The foyer was dirty looking and the lobby wasn't much better. Didn't really want to see the room. The front desk guy was nice and informed me there would be no breakfast and there wasn't any ice in the ice machines. He told me I could cancel and I did. Some of the people in the parking lot and the lobby were a little sketchy looking and I really couldn't get out of there quick enough.

My stay at the Candlewood was a very good one. I was greeted when I arrived and was in my room within 5 minutes. The room was clean and nicely set up (I was in a suite.) I did not have any issues, and I did not not experience any traffic noise even though the highway was so close. The kitchen was excellent as it had everything I needed to prepare many meals during my stay. The only issue I had the entire 3 weeks, was two of the washing machines were out of service for quite a while so there was a line to use the lone available washer.

Good shower and very good bed. Very comfortable suite.

Quiet Place and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff was wonderful and the room was large, clean and had everything one needs for a week long stay.
