Stone Manor Boutique Inn

A great place to stay for the weekend while exploring the area and wineries. The property is big, clean, with many amenities. The owners are friendly and very welcoming, they provide a delicious breakfast and are always on-call. The guests were local and interesting. Our room (East Wing Suite) was clean, modest size, and unique. Highly recommended.

The peacock room was delightfully over the top. Spacious room and bathroom, with lots of visual details and little luxuries. Staff were hospitable, friendly, and warm.

It was awesome. Just a suggestion for the owners....extra towels in the Turret Room and 2 robes instead of one.

The Stone Manor Bed and Breakfast is not your typical bed-and-breakfast. The breakfast is an elaborately served and Indian-inspired six course meal, with all six courses served at once! During your stay you have access to generous common areas, and an extensive collection of DVDs. The couple who operate Stone Manor could not be more friendly and accommodating. The location is a bit isolated but very pretty, and you are free to stroll the grounds. Our room was rather small but comfortable. The Stone Manor B&B is not for everyone, but if you are looking for an unusual place to stay in the Loudon County wine country, you will like this distinctive B&B.

Unfortunately our plane was canceled from San Francisco, and we were unable to travel until the following day. We were charged for three nights, instead of the two we actually stayed. When I checked out, the owner said everything was fine. I had to ask to receive an invoice. Since we had arrived at midnight the first night, I had yet to see or receive any paperwork at that point. He offered no explanation, and I asked if he was charging us for three nights, to which he responded, “Yes.” I understand if there was a no cancellation policy, but it felt like he was rather awkwardly trying to cover it all and not address the issue in a straight forward manner. We had been highly inconvenienced by our thirty plus hour delay already, missing a family event and the rehearsal dinner for my niece’s wedding. A simple explanation and perhaps even a little compassion doesn’t seem too much to expect.
