The pillows. Flattest ones ever experienced

I liked the " idea" of staying at a Fairfield Hotel. We have stayed at other Fairfield Hotels in the past and really enjoyed staying there. But , unfortunately not this time. We did however get a 1st floor room. But then again did we get the worst room in the building???

The room didn't appear to be clean. The room needs to be remodeled. The outlets in the room didn't hold a cord securely, it just fell out. The pillows were AWFUL! My husband and I both had headaches/neck aches from sleeping on the very soft pillows. No firmness at all. I went to the front desk and asked for firmer pillows but was told all the pillows were the same. Really??? This is the first hotel we have stayed that the pillows were awful. We have always enjoyed good sleep at other hotels in the past. I am always curious about where we can buy some pillows like them. Not this time! The bathroom was the worst. The sink had cracks all over the inside and was dirty. I tried cleaning it but still was filthy. The counter was the same-dirty. The faucets need replaced. Yucky. The bathtub was dirty too. The water faucet just went round and round. That was frustrating trying to get hot and cold water. I didn't want to touch anything. And I didn't. When rooms give you an extremely uncomfortable feeling, it's a sign. A person should be able to enter a room they paid good money for and see, smell and feel that the room is clean and sterile. A person should feel comfortable and relaxed and welcomed during their stay. We won't stay there again. We will be in San Antonio several times this year. We will find a new (and more inviting) place to stay on our next trip. At night the halls had a strange chemical smell too. It was only at night. ????? The King size room felt very small. The one we paid for should have been one of the larger rooms. Not smaller. This was the smallest King room we have ever stayed in. On a positive note, the coffee was fresh and tasted good each morning we were there.

Close to SeaWorld, clean, lots of breakfast choices. Front desk welcoming.

Shouldn't charge for parking when there isn't any attendants and it's open parking.
