Rodd Charlottetown

I visited Rodd Charlottetown during December for a business trip. The hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff was welcoming and made sure my stay was comfortable. I am looking forward to visiting one day. I highly recommend Rodd Charlottetown. It is conveniently located and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Absolutely disgusting treatment. Arrived in the evening to find absolutely NO parking available. I called the front desk (while driving around looking for parking), as any quality hotel provides guaranteed onsite parking for overnight guests. NOPE. I had to park 5 blocks away. The front desk agent was rude and completely uninterested in even attempting to resolve the matter. She further made the situation worse by stating that it says on the website that parking is "first come first served". It does not say that anywhere! They have a parking lot onsite, but anyone can randomly park there. This is a problem. It should be made a priority for overnight guests. When I arrived to check in, the front desk agent did not welcome me or even say hello!! I had reserved an Executive room, and was given a room right at the elevators which was loud and bothersome. It was not a pleasant or restful night. It was the same agent at check out and again there was no conversation. She did not say good morning, or ask how my stay was. She should not be working there. No smile or attempt to be pleasant or helpful. I have reached out to corporate as this was the most disappointing experience. Hopefully they will make some changes. Otherwise I am staying elsewhere...where guests are welcomed and valued and treated appropriately.
