Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites McPherson by IHG

The staff was exceptional. They were kind and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was nice and clean as expected. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Coffee was good and available all day long. Location was perfect.

Some of the negatives were the breakfast provided was not great. I felt like things had been sitting a while and when something ran out they did not replenish. First day the sausage was cold and had been sitting a while, eggs always had cheese mixed in like a mini omelet which I couldn't eat, I just wanted plain eggs :-( potatoes were gone when we got there on Sunday at least an hour before they stopped serving breakfast and they did not make any more. Coffee was good! Parking very not great. Spaces are very small and several cars took up 2 spaces which made it hard to find parking every night when we returned to the hotel. The rooms are not very quiet. We had a hard time sleeping because every time someone near us came and went from their room the slamming doors and heavy footsteps would wake us up. We could also very clearly hear conversations in the hallway due to gaps under the doors. Also, we had a very heavy walker in the room above us who seemed to pace back and forth in the middle of the night making it impossible to sleep as well. This tells me that the build quality of the hotel is not amazing as you can hear everything through the ceiling and walls. Will request top floor if I ever had to stay here again.

Great bed and pillows. Spacious enough room. Good hot tub. Didn’t they the pool. Good full breakfast with many options. Staff very helpful.

Cheese omelette was like rubber

No problems with wi-fi. Lots of desk and other horizontal space. Good lighting throughout room, in particular for working at desk and reading in bed. Comfortable bed: mattress sufficiently firm, pillows neither too fat and solid nor too thin and skimpy. Temperature control worked OK. Hot water arrived promptly at shower; sufficient flow from shower head.

What sounded like garbage pickup (backup beeps from truck, loud metal bangs) audible shortly after 6 a.m.

Friendly staff clean facility.

Employees were Very helpful. My room had a Broken Window shade that was letting in too much light from the street. they fixed the blackout curtains after I brought it to their attention.
