The Gateway Hotel

Everything we experienced here was fantastic. The room was clean, the price was fair for what was received, and we had nothing but good things to stay about the staff members on-site. My girlfriend is coeliac, and the restaurant offered GF options, which was a very nice touch, and was certainly appreciated. Great portions, and very nice food. I'm diabetic, and during the night I ran out of sugared drinks, having to call down to the front desk. - The staff member was very polite and friendly. My only potentially negative to say here is that there is no vending machine etc, so I had to buy the small, expensive bottles of coke from the bar. However, mine is a niche medical issue, and I cannot fault the hotel for this. The staff were very helpful, polite and professional at all times. I will also note, that due to how receptive and helpful the staff member was whilst I was having a medical emergency, this will be a large factor in having my stay at the Gateway the next time I am in Dundalk. Big thank you and congratulations go to the staff: Jack, Adi and Connor were extremely caring, helful and kind. The same for the restaurant staff and cleaners. Nice and clean hotel with great employees. Parking is perfect as the beautiful garden.

Improvement must be done regarding the restaurant's meals they need to be better for the prices we have. Breakfast is good but juices need to be changed for my taste they aren't good at all. .
