"Feedback Regarding Recent Stay – Hyatt House Bellevue, WA (October 2025)"

Dear Hyatt House Management Team, I am writing to share feedback regarding my family’s recent stay at the Hyatt House in Bellevue, WA, in October 2025. Immediately upon our arrival, we found a letter placed under our room door stating that the water to the entire building would be shut off the following day (Friday, October 24) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This came as a complete surprise, as we were not informed of this important service disruption at the time of booking or check-in. The unexpected water outage significantly disrupted our plans, and we had to rearrange our entire day to accommodate it. When I called to speak with the hotel’s Director of Guest Services, Jill, to discuss the matter and request some form of compensation for the inconvenience, I was disappointed by how the conversation unfolded. Rather than approaching the situation with empathy or a willingness to assist, I felt that my concerns were dismissed and treated as unwarranted. At one point, Jill remarked, “I’ve looked it up and you were staying for four nights. You mean to tell me this is the only complaint you have?”—a comment that I found dismissive and unprofessional. This interaction left a very negative impression, which is not something I have come to expect from the Hyatt brand. I hope that senior management will take this feedback constructively to ensure that future guests are notified in advance of any major service disruptions and that staff handle guest concerns with the courtesy, respect, and professionalism that Hyatt is known for.
