Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke Rapids

Very clean, right off I95.

Staff was very helpful

From check in to checkout everything was very good. Timothy (front desk) went above and beyond. Rooms were lovely. We had a meal from the restaurant, couldn't fault it. We would definitely recommend staying there.

I am writing this review simply from the perspective of a diamond Hilton Honors member. Most Hilton Garden Inn properties are quite similar and your stay will be satisfactory. That said if you are a diamond member you expect attention to certain details. We were forced to pull over early during a road trip due to minor illness and called ahead to ask for early check in, mentioning diamond membership. When we arrived we were told an upgraded room would be available in half an hour. Not the case. In fact we waited nearly an hour and half and finally agreed to take a standard room with two queen beds. Cutting this review short. We noted that the diamond status was never acknowledged in any way, even in attitude. It was surprising and disheartening. Comparing it to the property in Florence further south where even parking is upgraded this is one Garden Inn we likely won't revisit.

Tim was excellent!!! They need to clone him. Always friendly.

When we came back to our room that night, housekeeping never cleaned or room. I even left a $50 tip on the bed as well. I immediately took it and went downstairs to the desk. I asked could I please be transferred to another room, and Tim wasted no time transferring me.

Clean and great staff.
