Fairfield Inn by Marriott Washington D.C.

Reception employees were excellent! Quick checkin and checkout friendly and always asked if they could get us anything. Rooms were spacious, very clean and have all necessary amities The Breakfast gets a 4.5. Choices were great, good very good food. Staff made the waffles for you! This was above par breakfast’. Easy to get to ALL MUSEUMS, memorials and federal buildings.

The hotel is in a bit of a transitional area of the city, but inside it has the Marriott feel. This hotel is 15 Minutes from Children’s National, so if you’re traveling in for medical such as us, it’s a low budget option. The beds are not the same as other Marriotts we have stayed in and not as comfortable, either they need to be replaced or they have been switched with a cheaper brand than others, which was a disappointment for brand consistency. The morning desk attendant was a unfriendly and knew I was waiting to talk to him “because people just leave their keys” refusing to have any sort of conversation, although it’s been a week and I still haven’t been reimbursed the $50 deposit for Incidentals. Get him to check you out before you leave to help move things along.

All was well until chevout day. I had no one to help with my luggage from my room to lobby. Had to make 2 trips and I have a herniated disc in my lower back so could have used some assistance. Secondly, an unauthorized charge of l$135.62. was applied to my account on Sunday 08/10 and front desk clerk said it wasn’t showing in the computer only $150.00.hold that I authorized on my check in day. I had to report $135.62 to my bank as a suspicious fraud charge since I did not authorized Fairfield Marriott to without such funds.

This is sn excellent location. Near food and highway

My stay was great! But didn’t like the parking fee per night.

Breakfast needed more variety
