Punthill Essendon

Sex workers loudly servicing a client in the adjoining room, the entire floor smelled strongly of marijuana, and a loud dog was barking through the night. An unsafe property on multiple levels. Unbelievably bad for the price. The worst experience I’ve ever had and I’ve travelled extensively around the world. This property should be shut down.

Close to everything we needed

The hot water system, had cold showers every now and then.

Staff were friendly and helpful. When there was no available parking, one staff member called me back and suggested another punt hill location nearby that had 1 parking spot left - I think this is great service. Unfortunately I couldn't secure the spot in time. The bed was also comfortable and check-in was quick and easy. Location is close to trams, restaurants and airport.

No available parking so had to park on the street (but I did make a last minute booking). Room could have been cleaner, but it was acceptable for the price. There was a dog barking all night, not sure if this is a pet friendly place or not and the dog was in the next room or if the dog was next door to the apartments, but it yapped all night disrupting my sleep. Area is in a busy restaurant strip, there was one homeless guy that was pretty drunk outside of the apartments and was yelling.

Location is great and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with any questions we asked. Bed was amazing and the room was so much bigger than we expected.

Couldn’t find tissues or a face washer in the room. Both things we were needing and did not pack.
