"Great staff, gorgeous old world styling, and great amenities."

10.0

Such a beautiful location in the middle of downtown Seattle. The old world craftsmanship is stunning and the staff was excellent. When my train was delayed I had a check-in after midnight and Ilana at the front desk was a rockstar. She set the tone of my stay. After a warm reception she offered me a delightful pistachio biscotti and a glass of water. 5/5 great place and will keep it in mind for my next trip. Loved the continental breakfast in the mornings.

The architecture is vintage and lovely. The hotel lobby has a pool table, bar, lounge area, and nice dinner tables. The food in the lobby was excellent. The room and bathroom were nice in a dark turn-of-the-century way.

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY DO NOT STAY HERE!"

2.0

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!! Our travel agent had booked this hotel for us after we had finished a cruise for one night, when we arrived to the hotel the room wasn't ready which we did not mind waiting, we left our bags behind the desk, used bathroom before we headed downtown to pass a few hours, my husband used the bathroom to find hotel staff shaving and getting dressed in the bathroom. Very odd but we gave the benefit of the doubt. Returned back to hotel at 4pm to check into the room, the room we got was 620 as we got to hotel room the carpet was completely soaking as if something was spilled and the carpet was either cleaned or else it was from the previous guest, absolutely disgusting socks were completely soaking!! The sockets in the room beside the television was completely loose from socket and looked burnt i couldn't plug anything in i was too afraid incase I would get a shock!! I have never seen a room so bad and rang down straight away to the reception and was speaking with a young man who was very nice and told us to come back to reception as we did. My husband informed him after seeing the state of the room that we won't be staying and he was completely lovely and understandable we looked for a refund there and then and was told we would get one but we needed to go back through our travel agent as it wasn't booked directly through hotel which we thought fair enough! We booked a different hotel for the night and emailed our travel agent who contacted the hotel and was told we won't be getting a refund after we didn't even stay at hotel and they denied the state of the room..... we were that annoyed at rhe room we went straight downstairs to reception i should of took pictures off the floor and sockets as hotel has not denised the floor was wet and sockets are fine....absolutely appalling that a hotel can do business like this! I understand hotel policies of cancellations etc but the fact we were at the hotel at 8am to drop off bags, walked around all day till 4pm waiting for room it's not as if we decided to just go somewhere else for the fun...the room was shocking with a soaking carpet and turned us completely off staying even one night! Very bad hotel to deal with, absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Plenty of other hotels in this location do not waste your money because apparently after being told by the FRONT desk we would get a refund we did not!!! SHOCKING!

What an amazing, gorgeous hotel with equally friendly and helpful staff. Great location - near the train station and on bus line - Pioneer Square is only a few blocks away. Lovely bar and great NY bartender! Breakfast is spot on too - no plastic anything - actual plates and glasses & mugs round it all out. Looking forward to next stay at the Arctic Club!

"8 Months at the Arctic Club Hotel"

10.0

Between January and October 2025, I had the pleasure of staying at the Arctic Club about an average of three nights a week, affording me a rather unique opportunity to get to know the ins and outs of this gem of a lodging house. I'll try and break all of the impressions down into some sort of logical flow... TRANSIT - Getting to and from the airport to the hotel is easy-peasy. Take the train from the airport, get off at Pioneer Square exit and walk across the street. 3 bucks. You can take a LYFT and save yourself about ten minutes, but the train is clean, quick, and costs about 60 bucks less. Getting around downtown is easy and almost everything is less than a mile a way. Two personal notes about this: Seattle is hilly, and I was surpriseed at the quality of exercise available just by walking around. LIME bikes and scooters are awesome with the amount of bike lanes available. Get over your fears and/or cool factor hang ups and get on one and you can get anywhere near downtown in less than 20 mins for about 5 bucks. THE PROPERTY - Cool 1930's vibe with a lot of wood paneling and trim. Definitely a welcome break from the typical greige chain hotels. Have staff show you the Northern Lights Dome Room. French press coffee, electric kettle, in room snacks and fridge are all available. Beds are medium firm and I found them comfortable. Linens are good and everything was serviceable and in good condition. The only "quirky" bit is really the elevators: They are small, and the buttons can be temperamental. Remember to use your key card before selecting the floor and keep an eye on the light, make sure it stays lit up. BREAKFAST - Breakfast is good - A step above the good national chains. They do not have a fancy-dancy espresso/latte/frappucino/macchiato/hot chocolate/sake/sparkling water/artisian choke cherry juicer combos, but the coffee is good. If you are leaving before breakfast, just let the front desk know (shout out to Iriana) and she will get you a to-go bag with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, pastriees and whatever else you need. Definitely better than the pre-packaged muffin and banana you typically get. BAR/DINNER - This is definitely a place to stay if you will be entertaining clients. The bar area is straight out of some posh gangster's fever dream. The bottle selection is solid, the crew makes fantastic standard mixed drinks, their custom drink menu is damn good, they have some delicious mocktails, and they also do a few "over the top" presentations including smoked drinks and some special hardware. The food menu is good and the chef has done a respectable job of creating variety and unique flavors including some asian fusion and new twists on classic staples. The real gem of the bar, however, is the bartenders themselves. Mike is a professional bartender, and he has hired some fantastic people. I travel a lot for work, notice a good team, and he has one. I spent hours discussing guitars and music, manga, Brandon Sanderson, cheesy 80s films, best local dives with Mike, Matt, Marice (sp?), Kairi, Brian, Nora, and Heather(?)..no Harper, maybe Hannah...Hazel... the one that needs a steep stool to see over the counter. They're all great. OVERALL - Definitely recommended over the other hotels in the area. I stayed at most of them at somee point due to sold out rooms at Arctic Club and always came back. Sharon at the front desk was a life saver on a few occasions and the staff overall was fantastic.
