We spent 4 nights here for a city break. Good location for exploring the city and next to one of the main pick ups for day trips/excursions. Hotel is comfortable with toiletries, fridge and hairdryer. Could do with a spruce up in terms of decor/furnishings but clean and comfortable all the same. The staff are what made this place special, always welcoming with a smile asking how your day was and serving a good cold drink at the end of a busy day. Recommend as a base for exploring. Around 20minute walk to old town, we like to walk and explore the cities we visit but were advised from other residents that bolt was around 5pnds to the old town. We used bolt from the airport and this cost 9pnds.

Great hotel and great location and great price. Very clean and staff were very friendly. We got a great recommendation from reception for a lovely traditional restaurant in the town which turned out to be a fabulous night. Would highly recommend staying here!

We had a good experience at Hotel Michaelangelo. The staff behind reception were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and it was great value. For us the bed was too firm, however, they provide a mattress topper in the wardrobe which made it comfortable.

When you arrive at the Hotel my first opinion is that it looks a little tired and needs a touch of TLC. The hotel is clean and very accommodating and only a stones throw from two major roads with shops, bars, restaurants which both lead to the old town (25 mins walk) which is the hub of the city On the whole the hotel Michelangelo surprised me on the plus side for a budget Bucharest getaway and you couldn't fault the 3 concierge guys (Daniel/David/Pramod) who would bend over backwards to help you out in anyway.

All went well. Lovely staff, lovely breakfast.

Good value for money.

We were upgraded on arrival to a superior room which was warm and comfortable. Furnishings were good and decoration eclectic. The breakfast was A la carte. There was a good choice of most breakfast items. The bread on offer could have been more exciting in terms of fresh rolls or local pastries. The toast was average. The staff were very attentive. The availability of snacks and drinks from the bar was appreciated.

I don't really like having a glass cubicle shower in the main bedroom. I prefer the shower to be private and in the bathroom. I must say though that the toilet facilities and shower were spotlessly clean. We arrived at night and felt that the outside of the property could have done with a bit more lighting between the street and the reception as many of the rooms were approached from outside by steep steps which were difficult to see and probably not so much of a problem in the summer.
