Hotel Sirius

View, location, room, lovely "Old World" decor of Sicily on walls & books with chairs beckoning you to sit for awhile. Old interesting paintings/prints leaving you to investigate even the halls & stairwells. Breakfast was exceptional! Staff was so pleasant & accommodating. Beautiful pool area with pool bar & great staff there too. Restaurant on premise with terrace view. Property full of flowers & fruit trees. I felt like I was away from the chaos of Taormina but I was just a short walk to the Portal Gate & near the cable car down to beach. Amazing views!

Driveway to get in was very steep & windy. A bit hard to locate but not a deal breaker. Everything in Taormina is steep, windy & hard to find. No room service when we felt so exhausted & just wanted a pizza from the restaurant. Had to go down to order & wait but it was OK. Price was a bit high but glad we splurged for 2 nights here on our last Sicilian town in Taormina!

Das Terrassenzimmer war sensationell, unglaublich. Und der familiäre Umgang mit den Gästen. Das Zimmer war auch extrem ruhig. Bad hatte Bidet, in Italien nicht überall.

Schwer zu sagen , manche würden mehr Auswahl beim Frühstück haben wollen.

The views at this hotel are stunning, the pool was large & deep & there were plenty of loungers around the pool. The reception staff, pool staff and general support staff were a pleasure.

The hotel manager was AWFUL. My sister had morning sickness so I brought myself a coffee & her a tea to our room from breakfast. Unfortunately I knocked my coffee off the table on the balcony & smashed a cup. The coffee fell on a couple of hand towels we had drying outside. I called the reception immediately and they kindly sent up one of the cleaning staff who swept & mopped for us. We popped the two towels on the floor of the bathroom. When we returned to the hotel a few hours after lunch, the manager of the hotel asked me what room I was in when I passed reception. When I confirmed he told me he “had something” for me. He then threw a plastic bag with the towels in which had coffee on them and told me ‘I must pay’ - very rudely and aggressively. I immediately apologised, told him it was an accident and confirmed that I’d be happy to pay for the damaged towels. Despite this he continued to berate me about the towels in front of the entire reception and other guests. I calmly explained it was an accident and that I’m happy to pay but he kept stating that I’d done it on purpose. His behaviour is disgusting and I’ve seen other reviews calling this out. To note, on arrival our room was not ready until 3.30pm (despite check in being at 2pm) but we didn’t mind and waiting around the pool until it was ready and didn’t complain. I would not stay at this hotel again with such a rude and aggressive manager which is such a shame as the other staff were so lovely & accommodating. The location was great, however the steep hill couldn’t be managed with someone with disabilities / mobility issues. The breakfast was basic.

Easy access to the restaurants and shops of Taormina. Great sea view. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was very limited and a little disappointing. Decor very dated throughout hotel and rooms.

Nagyszerű helyen, fantasztikus kilátás, közel a belvároshoz.

A szálloda személyzetete nagyon kedves, kivéve a tulajdonos, aki nagyon kimért, nem igazán kedves, inkább tárgyilagos, egyfajta fesőbbrendűséget sugárzoz. Az egész szálloda giccses, régi bútorokkal, drapériákkal, művirágokkal, csillárokkal akarna valama luxust mutatni, de ettől inkább nyomasztó hangulatot sugároz.

The location was exceptional, just on the edge of town with exceptional unobstructed views of the ocean. Staff looking after us was the kindest and nicest I’ve encountered in a long time

Lage und Frühstücksbuffet

Es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und ringhörig.

The hotel exceeded all expectations. The location and the staff were all absolutely wonderfull. The views from the terraces were spectacular.

We weren’t there long enough. Prob the only thing to note, would be if you have a car make sure to book early so you can obtain a park at the hotel. We did so it was great.
