Khaolak Orchid Beach Resort

I loved this hotel and their staff. Nook, Pear, Far, the girls on the reception and the young shuttle bus driver are all fab, along with all the rest of the staff who work endlessly to look after you. Yes the hotel could do with a lick of paint on the outside and some of the teak furniture has had a few dinks and knocks, but its still a great place to stay. I stayed in room 323, it had great Aircon, great walk in shower along with seperate bath, massive and I mean massive bed, I had to crawl out of it, good wifi. Never tried the TV as im English and most or neon all channels were not English spoken (understandable im in Thailand). Pools were lovely and cleaned regularly, pool bar was great and managed by Nook and Pear. Bar/restuarant, i was looked after by Far. The girls in reception, looked after me extremely well and gave me some fantastic Glue, yes Glue to take back with me :). The young chap who drives the shuttle is so lovely and I did have a few giggles with him and made sure we got to and from hotel safely. Shuttle runs every 3 days to Khaolak town and Market. If you dont want to leave the hotel, there are a few nice restuarants near by and the beach a stones throw away. Breakfast was great, I had several different things each day, the breakfast is mostly I believe classed as American with only one Thai dish, which I didnt mind. I had a really lovely stay, your really couldnt ask for nicer, more attentive staff or hotel location. Would I recommend here, yes I would. Will I return, I hope so and not too far in the distant future if they will have me back :). Thank you Orchid for looking after me so very well. Wish I could give you all another big hug xxxxx

Stayed 5 nights in this beautiful oasis of tranquillity, was just perfect for everything, staff were incredible although a very special mention must go to NOOK she never seemed to stop smiling and was so happy arm and welcoming each time we saw her, she really is a credit to the resort. Nice food and ambiance, great location and so very relaxing with amazing beach right on the doorstep. Everyone at orchid beach are so friendly and always busy and really can not wait to go back.

Ruhiges Hotel an super schönem Strand. Sehr gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal. Etwas Abgelegen dafür sehr ruhig, aber man kann ja einen Roller mieten. Wir kommen wieder, hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

A 2 week stay in an oasis of tranquillity with amazing staff and great food at the Verve restaurant. We booked direct with the hotel and received a generous credit to spend at the pool bar and verve restaurant, free evening transport to the night market or khao lak and 5 free evening meals. You can choose to stay on site for a totally relaxing stay with several evenings in the Andaman restaurant a few hundred metres away the main man there is such a character and will keep you amused. The staff at orchid beach are so friendly and always busy there was a lot of preparation in the grounds for the christmas holidays. The gardens are beautiful and ver natural. We stayed here 4 years ago and the standard at the Verve restaurant has excelled, truly amazing food don't miss it. Special thanks to Nook, Pear and Jee

Walking distance to beach but no access to beach chairs with no shade at beach. Resort nice pool and massage on site. There was issues with room requested one queen bed did not get got two twins instead did not say anything. My complaint about property was the manager the room was extremely hot and manager would not allow another key to improve this and stated she is saving the environment which I corrected this is not saving environment saving money only. I was not happy it was too warm in our room and being on upper floor made it worse and manger did not care. Also bothersome that manager hiding behind this lie of saving the environment talking to me like I’m a fool. Everything is money driven and just hope Thai employees get paid well there.

nice and quite place near the beach

Stayed here just before the pandemic and was keen to come back. We stayed in the orchid wing of the hotel and again the room was spotless and very well maintained like everything else here. A compact hotel on even ground so makes it very easy if you have mobility problems.the on site beach front restaurant is very good and no more expensive than eating out at the limited number of restaurants in the area. On site is also an outside sala for massages which again were comparable with those outside the resort price wise and executed very well. There is also in reception a tour desk with a lovely and knowledgeable lady who can sort trips out for you. All the staff here from the gardeners to management are very polite with a happy disposition. If you want a bit of peace and quiet on a lovely stretch of beach and the town and markets within a 10 minute ride away this hotel should be in your thoughts.
