Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Conroe I-45 North by IHG

Upon arrival we were informed that the elevator was out of service and would not be back up for the foreseeable future. We had to haul our large luggage up two flights of stairs and the stair case was filthy and smelled like vomit the whole weekend. The service desk was very unfriendly and did not seem to care this was a disadvantage for our stay. Would not stay here again.

Elevator didn’t work.

When I booked there was no mention of the elevator being out for over a week. My elder mother has bad knees and struggles to walk neither less walk up flights of stairs. I was unable to get a refund, discount, nor a room on the 1st floor. Only help I recieved was I could park on the side of building the stairs are right inside. Took multiple trips by myself, helping my my mother and small child. Unfortunately, was a one and done for us.

If you are under 21 traveling without a 21 or older person do not book a room at this establishment!

THEFT!!!! Do NOT stay here!!! A 29 year old man entered our room while we were eating the complimentary breakfast and stole all credit cards and personal items. Hotel manager Katie Sauer lied and said cameras weren’t working. Cameras were working and the guy is in jail. Hotel destroyed key card evidence by the time it got to investigators. Employees involved!!! Horrible company and manager.

Front desk was very friendly. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful with a wide selection.

I will definitely go there again next time

I stayed with my granddaughters and our stay was great. We didn’t make the morning breakfast so I can’t rate that. The staff was very friendly! Shopping was So convenient!!

Theft of personal items. While we were eating the free breakfast just right down the hall, members of this staff entered our room (which had a do not disturb sign on it) and stole personal items (jewelry, purses, wallets with credit cards) they didn't touch any electronic devices which could be tracked - which means this isn't the first time they have done this. Of course it wasn't until later trying to replay things in your mind that I realized the front desk person was the lookout. During breakfast I thought it was odd that he loitered around the lobby with a clear line of sight to our room and the breakfast area. The Manager on duty had the worst response to us when I brought this to here attention - she was unsympathetic, rude, flat out didn't believe me only stating her staff "wouldn't do that". The police were called and we had to wait awhile until they arrived. During that time waiting, we received fraud alerts on our cards that were stolen, only further proving that they were stolen from our locked room - could only be accessed with a key. In the lobby while i waited for the police, another customer was signing in, and all i said was "make sure you lock up your stuff, I'm waiting on the police now because items were stolen out of our room". The manager came out of her office and told me i couldn't "harass the other customers and me and my family should no longer stay there. I had been cordial up until then, but now - we had our personal items stolen from there staff and then she proceeds to kick us out of the hotel. When the police show up they take our statement and then go with the manager to look at the security cameras. here comes a shocker....the cameras were not recording during that time, you can only see the live feed. imagine that. This place is not safe as it is the staff itself who pose the threat to you. Investigation is still ongoing and yes we do intend on pressing charges. I will be contacting this hotels corporate office to see if they have the same response as their manager or care about their customers. Merchants from some of the stores have been more than willing to help and have been understanding way more than the manager whose watch this happened under. She never even apologized even after the evidence that came through. Quite the opposite kicking me and my family out. We were down there for a family wedding.
