Location and comfortable beds

We were charged twice and they won't answer me

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The location is nice--just a short walk to the beach and several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Also a bookstore just down the block. And we had a nice view of the river from our fourth floor room. The hotel does show a few signs of wear and the pool and hot tub could use a deeper cleaning. But everything else was great. The room was clean, neat, and of decent size with everything in working order. The breakfast was decent for a hotel of this label--hot eggs, bacon, sausage, and oatmeal along with fruit, juices, bread, bagels, yogurt, dry cereal, and yummy warm cinnamon rolls. And the desk clerks were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated Jeff (Jeffrey?), who gave us excellent restaurant recommendations.

The hotel room was clean and fairly quiet on the fourth floor. We had two adults and a kid staying for three nights and four days and only had two towels for showers. We could ask for more but the convenience of the set up was lacking slightly since they knew we had two adults and one kid coming. You can’t beat the location though it’s close to everything. The hot tub bottom was very rough and rocky which hurts your feet and there was a swim suit liner floating in it while we were there but overall it looked clean. The staff was very friendly there and breakfast was decent.

Casey helped me get checked in and was very kind and informative. The pool and spa were great too! My only issue is there were some stains on the duvet cover in my room but the room was clean otherwise.

On our last day one of our cards stopped working a few hours before check out , other than that it was great

Very comfortable bed. Staff went over and above to accomodate any requests we had. Extra blanket, extra room keys and even a deck of cards to play with the kiddos. Breakfast was great (although the first day most of the hot food ran out quickly...it was a very busy basketball weekend.).. also, having cream cheese for bagels would have been nice. We LOVED the fact that the pool/spa was open for adults 24/7, and that the hot tub was very hot. Loved everything. I loved all of the DOVE bathroom supplies. Thank you so much!

Pillows were a little on the soft side, but other than that, everything was wonderful.
