Majestic Inn and Spa

The room was spacious and very clean. Good bedside reading light choices. The bed was comfortable. Hallways were wide, bright and clean. The sitting area also comfortable and the desk area was adequate - I had to work part of the day. The Wi-Fi was dependable. I could have made French press coffee in the room, but I always succeed in making a giant mess, so my husband bought coffee and scones in the cafe which was delicious. We had breakfast one day and that was very good too. Lovely facility overall. Great choice.

What is with hotels being towel stingy? Two bath, hand and face towels. I like a bath towel for my hair! And there was no getting around it being washed as the shower head was the overhead rain variety. Would also have preferred two full size pillows per person rather than one small and one queen size but slept well. The AC was really, really loud so we opened the slider which was quite pleasant.

The room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The courtyard was a perfect area to hang out with the dog and the rooftop was a great place to see a beautiful sunset. The restaurant was fantastic and had a great happy hour! The location is close to everything.

The snacks/drinks in the room are really expensive.

I have been to the attached cafe many times, as the coffee is fantastic, as is the food, ambience, and service. It was Endiro Coffee but as of the writing of this review, the name is now “cafe at the Majestic.“ I would like to give a particular note of appreciation to cafe manager Emma Ruth, who was outstanding in every way possible, and of course on a day when I needed it most! Baristas and people, don’t get much better than this kind and accomplished woman. I have not yet stayed at the hotel, but I have perused the small but inclusive items for sale by the check-in desk, checked out the beautiful bar and dining room and menu, and used the always spotless, luxurious restrooms in the lobby, which is attached to the cafe which has a breakfast and lunch menu as well as a full coffee bar. Plenty of parking in the back as well as some on the front and side streets.

Would stay again. Clean, safe, quiet. Right on main street, close to grocery stores and restaurants and the ferry (10 min away). Stayed in the older building. Found the 2,000 channels on the tv too hard to navigate. Had an elevator. Friendly staff helped us with reservations and greeted us upon arrival. Sink didn't drain, which suggests the housekeeping new of the problem but didn't report it to maintenance. But should be fixed when you check in.

Best hotel of our trip so far. We got a premier king and the bathroom was enormous, with a great rain shower, and extra clean. The bed and linen were great too. The staff were wonderful and the hotel was in the middle of everything.

This is just a suggestion, but I wish the premier king suites had a small table for dining/snacks. There’s a huge space near the window that is empty and, considering the hotel offers wine in the room, it would be nice to have a place to sit down and watch unwind by the window.

This was our first visit to the San Juan islands, and we started our trip in Anacortes with a stay at the Majestic Inn. We were warmly greeted and checked in to a beautiful room in the original 1800’s building. We enjoyed the afternoon on the rooftop deck, surrounded by spectacular views of the water and nearby islands. Dinner at the Bistro & Bar was delicious, and our server was absolutely delightful. We stopped by the reception desk for some fresh ground coffee beans, and loved the French press in our room after dinner. If you’re planning to visit this beautiful part of the world, we would highly recommend the Majestic Inn.

The roof top bar was a nice surprise!
