Candlewood Suites Elkhart by IHG

Not a great place. Staff was not friendly. TV was difficult to operate. Elevator stopped working twice. Room was not cleaned during our stay. Signs posted everywhere to take your own trash outside to the dumpster. Lobby smelled like pot most days. Lots of other options nearby to stay that we would try before coming back here.

$500 a night for a $69 hotel. The older lady at the front counter had a terrible attitude. For $500 a night you would think that controllable would be left off the table. Then they tried to put me in a handicap room. Shower towels had brown stains on them. Cabinet drawers were broken. Carpet crunchy from being wet and dry so often. Smell in the room. Etc…

The hot water never got hot and the AC did not function properly as it could not be set below 71, I would NOT recommend this hotel.

The Lady at the front desk was exceptionally rude and not just me, but everybody had a reservation and she would not because she ran out of rooms that allow dogs so she could kindly offered to call her Manager. and see if she could get approval for us to stay on the third floor though she did explain that she would be charging us an additional $75 per dog of which we had to. Eventually I made her cancel our reservations so we can move on to a more affordable accommodation she was not nice to any. She was rude to the people in front of me.

The kitchenette. Free laundry. Comfortable bed. Nice lighting.

Kitchenette was not stocked as promised. Request for silverware and plates was never completed. Gave up and bought some at the Dollar Store.
